| Episode itself wasn't that bad actually. The only thing from the character design that seems odd imo is the hair of most of the characters. This is sure "unique". Apart from that I won't judge the Anime by one episode and I gladly see how it'll develop. Tarrasji said: It would have been better if it had an creepy opening and ending. |

| It was an OK episode, not bad, but not excellent either. The mystery and horror can be nice on further episodes, but the characters are way too boring, not to mention the character design itself which is pretty weird in my opinion. Well, let's see how things turns out on the next episodes. |

| So the only real complaint I'm seeing about this show is the hair....... I really liked this episode, I was left with a big smile on my face once it finished. It totally feeds the supernatural horror side of me XD Imo, the opening is enough reason for me to watch this show. |

| This show has some seriously hideous character designs ... That said, this wasn't a terrible first episode. I definitely liked the opening (yay Buck-Tick!), and small Japanese towns always seem to be a good setting for horror. There was a decent amount of suspense wondering what would happen to Megumi, even though I didn't particularly care for her. They introduced a whole lot of characters, though there wasn't much to go on to remember them yet -- monk, doctor, student, et al. -- but that can easily be remedied in future episodes. So yeah, my only serious problem at this point are those ugly, distracting character designs. Oh, well. I think I'll keep watching and maybe I'll get used to them. |

| Oh man I'm glad Megumi died. So damn annoying. I liked the episode but was a tad bit disappointed, it wasn't as creepy or good as I was expecting based off the trailer. Neither was the music. Oh well, I am intrigued at least. I liked the animation and character designs. No problem sticking around for more episodes. |
| It's been a while since I've watched an adaptation of Fuyumi Ono's work. Favorite by far is Juuni Kokki (12 Kingdoms)..tried getting into Ghost Hunt but I forgot my reason for dropping it. I hope Shi ki can revive my interest in Ono-sensei's story telling abilities. I didn't think that the character designs were bad. Just different and sort of refreshing because it can't be compared to anything else (after watching so many KEY anime I feel like it's become the default character template -___-). Anyway, I liked the melody of the blood rain falling on the skull... Will definitely continue watching.. |

| I think it was pretty interesting for a first episode. It had good atmosphere + I get feeling that vampires of this show will be really cool - not like that wannabe vampires from todays books - and that got me hooked. I am glad that Megumi died, all she did was screaming: "I hate this village!" Ugh. |

| This episode is a bit tricky to judge for me. It's definitely just setting the stage, and I'm intrigued to find out that this is by the creator of Ghost Hunt (one of my most favorite animes). Ghost Hunt was mostly just setup in ep 1 too, so I'll definitely give a couple more eps of this a try before deciding anything. I at least like the style and tone of this ep. Have to say some of the hair styles are rather weird though... Especially the cat-eared dude that moved into the mansion. I kept waiting for the woman to say "ARE YOU A WOLF PERSON" or something. |

| The trailer was some what of a summary to the first episode. But at the same time that trailer grabbed our attention. The first episode may of seemed boring but this was set up to set up the rest of the show. They are laying down the cards on the table. Family Moves In. Deaths are there. Now the storyline can progress in episode 2 and on. Overall i liked it. But im looking forward to the next episode. |

| The first episode was pretty good, I liked the atmosphere too. It had the horror feel to it or something that seemed like something is going to happen. I really want to know what happened to Megumi. Hope they talk about that in future episodes. When the people moving into the European like house and arrived to ask for directions I thought something was going to happen because the driver looked so creepy |
