| I kind of liked this episode - well I thought the animation was a little shoddy but I thought there was enough bad ass Golgo 13 action to convince me to watch a few more episodes. The good (or bad depending on how you see it) thing about Golgo 13 is that it is episodic so you don't necessary have to watch all episodes in sequential order in order to know what's going... |
| Calling someone tasteless because they watch a certain show is stupid. People have different preferences. Sure you don't have to like every single show out there. But have an open mind at least. I kinda enjoyed this, but at this point its too early to get a firm opinion about it. I'll give it another 10 episodes before I pass judgment. |

| mhh... yeah a bit exciting and nice at some points but overall pretty much in the ok area. We will see where this is heading. I'll give some more episodes a try. |

| I'm amused so many people in this thread expected realism. From an Anime. Honestly you guys. Decent first episode, I actually liked the slower pacing building up to a climax. Lends itself to some solid espionage action. But then it's also fairly humorless and dry. 50 episodes might be a bit much, but I'll give it a shot. |

| Quite honestly, I disliked it. Just did not impress me in any way. Of course, I will still give it a few more episodes, since it could possibly get better, and simply because dropping something after one episode is pretty dumb if you ask me. |

| I like it. Golgo needed some lady lovin' and he got it. She was even willing to cancel her other clients for some more Golgo lovin', Golgo is the man. |
| If Golgo 13 continues to meet the bill for my weekly espionage fix, I'll keep watching it. That's basically all though. Shame though. Everyone is either Golgo 13, men to employ Golgo 13, men to be killed by Golgo 13, and women to be loved by Golgo 13. I think this show would improve immensely with a more compelling cast. From the episode preview, maybe the next episode will fix this. |

| Golgo 13 is awesome. I can definately see the James Bond kinda theme in it and I think it will continue to be badass. So much suspense just for that one amazing shot. |

| I've been waiting years for this show to be made and so far i'm not disappointed. I honestly don't see how anyone who has seen the other Golgo animes could be disappointed either. Yeah, it's unrealistic, and yeah, it's over the top, but that's what it's supposed to be. It's obviously not for everyone, but most people should be able to tell it's not what they want to watch fairly easily. |

Considering how the SWAT team said it was impossible for anyone to hit a target 1 kilometer away, even if he noticed it, he probably wouldn't view it as a threat. |
| Well, to be honest I was expecting way more than this boring episode, sure sure, he's manly and all but the story in this episode bored me to death, if the next episodes are as boring as thisone then I won't watch it anymore. |

| I've been looking forward to this for a long time and it didn't disappoint. Most of my enjoyment comes from the nostalgia factor, but it's amplified by the fact that current anime shows are so overrun with typical shounen themes and fox dieties. This throwback to the good old days really came along at just the right time for me. And LOL at some of the pretentious anime fans around nowadays. |

| It's the adaptation of an old-school manga, so if you've not read the manga or if you're not old-school, you obviously can't like this show, it's as simple as that. It's actually a very good first episode with great camera work and clearly cut scenes, very well-made classical characters and enjoyable plot. Even the animation is far better than what I thought it would be and the music is absolutely fitting for this kind of mature show. Oh and DarkSageRK, please stop writing here, you're a big pain in the ass, cyruz has been quite nice to you I think, on top of being objective and giving accurate arguments, and you're being a total asshole with your unfounded personal attacks. Yes he's watched twice as many animes as you, and if you watched some more animes, maybe you could understand and like Golgo 13. If you claim that you have a social life and can't watch more animes, very well, don't post on MAL and you'll gain some time to devote to your social life. No wait, don't watch animes, you can't even appreciate them, maybe you should stop animes too (1/10 for GITS is the most stupid rating I've ever seen in any MAL profile honestly...). And yes, the average rating on MAL is close to 7.5, not 5.5, because the members' votes are taken into account and not the probabilities, we're not throwing a dice randomly so the theoretical average is different from the actual average score. You're wrong on both matters, just accept it. And yes, English is my second language, I'm sorry I can't speak as well as you in your native language. |

| Actually, for a second hand speaker, Cyruz writes better English than some native speakers I've seen. To cap off my running inner commentary of this thread, "Lulz." Not sure I see the hubbub against the art and animation for this studio. Minimalistic, sure, but it suits the tone nicely. I actually enjoyed that this episode took a slower approach than EXPLODING TERRORISTS ON THE BACKS OF FLAMING DEATH MOTORCYCLES CLUBBING SEALS YOU GUYS HOLY CRAP. For an action title, it's got a kind of subtlety to it, and I think I can dig it. |
