We got all together to wonder at the fantastical news, and most likely celebrate them in a very Pagan manner (like dancing and clapping around a menir)

Anyway, since FMA 1 and 2 don't seem to be the continuation of each other, they can air both at the same time. Or something. Prolly one before DBZ and one before Naruto. Really, this is good news. Kids are getting retarded thanks to Naruto, and this may invert the situation.

It's awesome, but I think this will be the end of fansubs when they are going through with this... Anime on television in every damn country in the fucking world, afterwards releases on DVD. All anime licensed, fansubs will die.

http://www.funimation.com try it.

Funimation.com works for the UK how many times do I have to type that?
That's low quality streams. I wanted something where it was being aired on actual tv with decent quality.

Same here... They are those of use who want to watch an anime that looks as amazing as FMA Brotherhood on TV, instead of these poor quality streams. I don't care how good the streams are now, but watching a small box on my 15" is rubbish compared to my 28" TV.

The UK basically started europe but we don't count...
Nah, I understand. The UK is a very small country with too many different languages spoken really, not to mention the tiny anime market and the fact that hardly anyone can find it due to the even tinier anime section in dvd shops.

It would be bad to waste such an opportunity, wouldn't it? I'll probably marathon all available episodes at weekend (not specifying which weekend it will be :P )

It's probably first anime to be so quickly available in Poland through legal means. Normally, it would take at least one year.

I am from Israel and I don't care.
Also like that I am watching FMAB (Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhod) in the day after it airs in Japan (With fansubs of course) ^___^

And that's it. Na-no-ne/De-aru/Relo XD

Great news, but I still prefer English fansubs over Norwegian subs.
Also, they translated the Japanese alchemist titles into English, instead of keeping the Japanese titles or translating them to Norwegian? Nice.

Simultaneous broadcast =/= 3 days later? Right.

I'm not sure what to do with this. I just noticed that this is the official and (thus the legal way?) to watch FMA, even though a friend of mine linked me to an episode when it was hot stuff. I didn't pay much attention to the uploader or anything, just thought it was a bunch of fansubs thrown together (and had a hard time figuring out how to even get the correct language to show).

Anyway now I'm faced with a moral dilemma. :P The Youtube stream is very much watchable and the Finnish subs don't seem too awkward, but I still feel uneasy with them. :/ English has been the way to go for all the anime so far, as I figure is the case with many others too. But but but but, aeeehh what to do what to do... ;_;

ROTFL, 3 days late and they still can call this "simultaneous broadcast"?
V3gas said:

Simultaneous in Europe. Three days later than in Japan yes, but the broadcast is done at the same time in every country they're broadcasted in (in Europe). If someone starts following the series through Youtube or whatever, it's the same one week interval between episodes anyway.

Exactly my reaction... Can't believe an actual AWESOME anime series is being licenced in Portugal. Both in youtube AND in a TV station! Something must be wrong here.

I wouldn't watch it on TV even it if was aired here in the Netherlands, I prefer watching it online / RAW. I just don't like rushing home just to watch a show, because I'm not home most of the time if I have school.

OK. I'm not sure if I am, but sorry for the rudeness, but fuck off. What's with this Bulgaria thing on top. OK... I can watch the series in you tube which is grate, but how the fu*ck they expect me to know Finnish, Danish or Italian... Nothing against those countries, but I don't know those languages. I know english and Bulgarian. And yes, right, there's no english nor Bulgarian subs. Thanks for the legal way to watch this. And thanks for the stopped DVDs of the first anime.
Really - fansub will prosper with this kind of licenses...
