| You know, it's ironic, because I tend to like the color in pokemon that's the oppose of my favorite. I like Pokemon Red better than Pokemon Blue. Even though my favorite colors are blue and green. And even though I prefer water and ice pokemon to fire pokemon by far. I also like Pokemon Gold better than Pokemon Silver. Which is odd because even though gold is more valuable, I find it oddly banal and crass given some of my associations with gold. But nope, gold and red for a Silver, Blue, Green, Ice and Water fan. Also, I like ho-oh and it's associations better than Lugia. I mean like I'm really into the whole Rainbow pokemon thing so much that years ago I put incompadible mutli-element attacks on one of my Mewto. But I'm also a ghost pokemon freak. And Ho-oh looks more like something traditionally Japanese while Lugia is more streamlined. |

Isn't Lugia more traditionally Japanese-related since it's supposedly based on the Ryūjin(龍神)? |
| I was more thinking along the lines of that the architecture Ho-oh is more like an old Japanese architectural building where lots of ghastly ought to be. It's been a long time, but I remember liking finding Ho-oh a lot better. And Lugia being related to Ryujin totally makes sense. The ocean floor thing. I like how you believe the two are different as well. While I'm a person with a degree of interest in both Chinese and Japanese mythology, I think I'm a bit more fascinated by Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, and other Northeast Asian Mythology. Which isn't exactly the same as Chinese mythology. Though I think the Phoenix isn't very Chinese as it is global mythology. Anyway I still like Ho-oh better because of it's location for capture and moves like "Sacred Fire". It has a great feel to it. And even though I like Water Pokemon better. Weird. This stinks, I have even more reason now to want to like Lugia better but don't. It's basically everything wanted then and want now in a pokemon. Like a G/S version of a Metwo. Sleek. Psychic powers. Associations with Water most of all but also rainbow associations with all the the elements. And yet... It's just too weird. Lugia was everything I wanted years ago when I had all Metwo and Water/Ice Pokemon teams. And even gave one of my Mewtwo Fire Blast, Blizzard, Thunder and Psychic just because I wanted a "rainbow" type pokemon. Oh well, time will probably fix me up. I'll figure out how I feel when I buy this game, Pokemon Gold. |

Interestingly though, Chinese mythology details the 鳳凰's physical appearance as consisting of 5 fundamental colours such as black, red, white, green and yellow/gold. If I'm not mistaken, the Western phoenix is a flaming bird or some sort isn't it? Coincidence? lol |

| Nah, I just preordered the English version. But not from one of those stores that gives out the Arceus unfortunately. Apparently the place I preordered from give me a Arceus figure or somesuch instead. But why can't just all the stores have a free giveaway of all those unlock items and special pokes? Having to trade for clones online or hack to the content by oneself shouldn't be necessary when we've paid for the game. |

| Soul Silver. Yeah, Ho-oh looks really pathetic in comparison. But that's my opinion. Then again, might just get Heart Gold because a lot of people want soul silver XD. |

| It's coming out in less than a week. I am very psyched :3 Got my copy of SoulSilver reserved. Played Silver version back then so I'm sticking with it. Plus, SoulSilver sounds cooler and I love Lugia :P Also, I think the PokeWalker is nifty =D |

| Got both versions 3 days be4 US realese and i got to say its the best remake they have done. Theres no need for a Crystal remake if they never did a Yellow remake. Im playing SS more than HG (ironic that i prefer Gold back in the day) since i was making a file on both games but when i started SS 2nd i just went on and play further so yea. So whats yalls first impression of this game since you now have either version in your hands? |

| If you went through the original without Outside help, vanilla your way through it for the memories~ I downloaded SS for my Acekard Saturday night, but didn't get that far; got HG sunday and I'm at Cianwood now on it; Pokewalker is probably best accessory ever~ |
