Yes, I use an anime profile pic here.

I used to have them all the time on all my social medias because I had a huge weeb phase in 2020-2021. But now, I really only use anime pfps for MAL and Discord, where I don't have irl friends on.

No. Anime profile picture are ok, but they have a side effect when no one even tries to take what you say seriously anymore. I personally don't think so, but there many of those around who do, so I'll go with something different.

@DesuMaiden, because they have a prejudice against anime. They see it as a sign of infantility, and basically label you a loser for liking anime. All their argumentation quickly falls apart the moment you ask them to elabarote, but still... I don't know about the West, but there's a decent number of folk like that over here.

Me? DPR, south (Azov sea side). But over here, you more often than not get pure, genuine hatred for being an anime fan. Most of them are keyboard warriors, of course, but some do have enough muscles to “defend” their stance.

Nah, I used to have an anime pic everywhere but not anymore. An anime pic denotes lack of respect for yourself and it's like you're stuck in a phase you should have quit in your teens.

@DesuMaiden hmmmm.. id say something pepole irl would find really weird if they asked whats it about, and i dont mean like eeeemmm darling in the franxx for example becouse its explainable, probably where sex is the only plot or doing something really inappropriate? maybe a lewd title?
i know there is an anime 'my sister cant be this cute' which i dont think contains any actual nsfw or weird themes except the title, but no matter how much youd try to explain yourself i think any normie would instyantly think youre a weirdo

@sleepimimimi well, I don't consider lewd anime to be deranged, I enjoy watching lewd/fan service/ecchi anime shows btw.

I rarely use social media to begin with, but yes, I do have anime or anime-adjacent profile pics. The few places that I don't use them, I don't have profile pics.
