| @Reecey91 yup, mine died when Alma left home for her 1st day of school. like at 10:59 or so. i haven't seen them come back just yet, i paused the ep to check here and see if anybody else reported it. [edit] subs came back at 14:55 -ish. i'm streaming this ep off one of my fave 'grey web sites' for anime. so i've no clue what (if any) problems could be happening on Crunchyroll's end of things. [edit 2] even if i got the 7-day free trial on Crunchy i'm sure i wouldn't be able to play any vids. my PC tower is too old (it uses Win7 for an OS) and therefore my version of MS Edge is antiquated as well. i can't get anything to play on my free Paramount+ account i got from my job, neither can i get CBS' vids to work there nor Amazon's Vids to work. i can only get YT Vids to work properly if i set the DPI to 720p. if i bump it to 1080p or higher all the YT Vids stutter like mad, buffer forever, or totally freeze up. even with my fiber optic internet access giving me AT&Ts advertised 300mbps for my account level... my PC's modem can't handle those speeds and bottlenecks everything to 90-100mbps. the weirdest thing is? 99 times outta 100 i stream anime on my 1st and 2nd fave 'grey web sites'... my PC can handle 1080p vids perfectly. :/ |

The subs disappear for about 2 minutes but they come back. Not sure how Crunchyroll messed that up but I can't say I am not surprised.
| @christofu21 well i dunno who 'recorded' this ep off Crunchy, but 'their' file i'm streaming didn't get the subs back till nearly timecode 15:00. :/ i use hardcoded subs whenever i stream anime, if the site gives me a choice. so maybe a softcoded file would have proper subs? |

Glad to see it wasn't just me, it's amazing how unreliable and useless Crunchyroll has been lately.
| @Reecey91 i wouldn't say that from my experiences with 'non-standard' Crunchy files. in the past... hmm... this Season and Summer2025 i only had the one episode of Shield Hero which had ZERO English Voice Talent audio track. that's the only problem i've had that i can even remember in 2025 from Crunchy. if you're talking about the Gachiakuta (sp?) delay in English dubs till the end of this month? that's no big surprise. every dub company that attempts simulcast dubs has problems at some point during a Season. ESPECIALLY for shows that now 'start' earlier than the TV broadcasts in Japan, as well as 2+ Cour long shows running without any hiatus/cour breaks etc. the dubbing ADR etc. process is effing COMPLEX and doesn't always run perfectly. ESPECIALLY if the Japanese anime studio doesn't get the original masters and final scripts to the dubbing company early/fast enough. so at least to me? Crunchy is doing just fine like they always have. (shrug) if it has been different for you? that's you. |

| I know Hana had a naming scheme for her puppies but it was funny to hear her looking for an Evans after just coming from another show starring a "robot" with an Evans. Props to the staff involved for not only getting a native English VA for a character that demands it, but also to the Japanese VA for nailing his English lines. Scene flowed like butter. |
| Wait why tf isn’t this on CR Edit: Ok, for some reason, everything other than Gachiakuta and Who made me a princess isn’t showing under just updated/my watchlist so I had to manually go to it. Also, half the episode is missing subtitles. What the fuck even is this company at this point man? It’s just inexcusable lapses. Edit 2: Easily the best episode of this show. I’m so glad Alma got out the house and finally got to go to school with kids her own age(technically she doesn’t age, but you get the point) this is exactly what she needs to become a “normal” girl because lord knows her parents are anything but lol. Her relationship with Hana is my fave part of the show so far, they are so cute. Hana is such a bashful sweetheart who puts up a tough exterior, but she loves animals and just struggles connecting with others. So happy Alma was able to not only become Hana’s first friend, but show the rest of the class Hana is a great person. Enji getting turned on by Suzume’s shampoo is hilarious, bro just tell her she smells nice π I swear they remind me sm of the couple from Rikekoi. Great episode, I love this family sm |

| @Marinate1016 That section has been all screwed for me, shows show up updated from like a day ago or more when they were update that same day, like it shows that this anime was last updated 2 days ago, ever since they change the subtitles and all of that the site has been messed up. |

| Loved the episode, especially the choice to have Alma start going to school. First and foremost, I’m glad Alma and Hana became each other’s first friends, they were both so adorable. I’m a bit unsure about Alma sharing her secret with Hana, but since Hana seems like a good girl, it should be fine, I guess. |
| The idea behind this show is so basic that I feel like I'm mentally prepared for anything that might happen. ....and then Alma proceeds to come out with something that I wasn't ready for at all every time. Reporting Enji's "excretion" to her classmates was unexpected but, also, brilliant. Suzume also took the 3% increase in body fat much better than I would. She really is all about the science. |

Whatever the reason, it's lame. Its kind of stupid that they didn't like that but allowed for a cliché naked bath scene with the mother. Aside from that, though, the anime‘s fairly enjoyable and true to the source material. I never expect a 100% copy past of the manga. |

The writer was probably referencing Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) but since Japan could easily mispronounce and misspell these relatively similar names when spoken in Katakana. |
