| There were a few tonal whiplash moments I wasn’t a fan of, like when it showed Stanley gun down some characters (and in the moment it looked like Suika was one of them), and then right after it cuts to Luna being a goofy ass, coulda done without that but otherwise this was a fantastic episode. It sure was something seeing everyone react to being stoned again, some for the first time like those back in the original village, I really liked the words from Senku about humanity coming back no matter how long it takes, as well as why he could never have agreed to work with Xeno, it is sad they couldn’t have walked the same path but what’s done is done. I also liked the thought process from Stanley, who could have ruined the chances of humanity’s return from the second stone wave, and he ultimately chose not to, even knowing he would probably be a permanent statue, I know he gunned down several characters we know and love including sweet Kohaku, but even now I can’t hate Stanley, he is one cool mf. And wow, for the first person to come back being Suika, it feels perfect honestly, I don’t know how much time passed before she woke up (there was a lot of overgrowth, I’m gonna guess many years), but I’m guessing we’re gonna see Suika become a teen or maybe even an adult before she either finds some revival fluid, or makes her own. I wanna say maybe Luna and Chelsea had some but if they’re planning to have Suika grow up like I’m thinking, then it’s probably not that simple. Either way, it was heartbreaking seeing poor Suika all alone, but by the end of the episode she seemed to be feeling better about it after we got a callback to how Senku was the only human at the very start of the show, and now it’s Suika’s turn. And nice changes to the ED for this one, everyone being gone except for Suika, it really added to the events of the episode, it’s times like this I’m glad I never skip OPs or EDs lol. |

| Ahhhh, it burns, it hurts.... If the last episode wasn't painful enough, this one filled me with so much sorrow and sadness. Suika's little friends. The dog and the boar, they were so sweet, just like Iban, guarding the statues in the village, growing up and faithfully waiting for the return of their beloved Suika. It would break my heart if they died before she could be reunited with them. The burden she now carries is immense. Like Senkuu, she is alone, tasked with reviving everyone. But unlike him, she doesn't have his knowledge, and is just a little girl. Seeing her cry was very hard. What a brutal episode. |

| Man, to see Suika all alone was harsh but she has managed to survive. I was scared when thinking about that jaguar prowling around. My blood boiled when I saw Stanley shoot Suika's pumpkin helmet. I would have hoped they broke his statue when they eventually revived. |
| Ukyo's "super" hearing can apparently differentiate a gun shot hitting Senku versus other people. Ok. I was already not a fan of the set up for this plot twist, but THIS is what they're betting on to revive humanity??? Ain't no way you cannot make use of a cracked saucer and whatever other things they have around to get fluid to drip down onto someone. This feels too cute by half to try to do something clever with their sound tech that just ends up being really dumb. Here's an idea, have Gen stay up there and start pouring the fluid into that cracked saucer when the beam arrives so it fills up after he petrifies and drips down onto Suika or whoever. Or hang it from some strong rope and set the rope on fire a few seconds before the wave hits. Nah, gotta make it super complicated and dramatic to drag things out. I mean, if Stanley can light up a cigarette while he's being petrified surely someone can manage to use the fluid intelligently. The annoying "cool" girl has been completely useless since administering minor first aid in the last cour so of course she cannot do anything useful now. The worst part of all this is being dragged out is we already know how it will end. Suika will eventually revive Senku, and he will help revive everyone else as they "restart" in the stone world again. It would be nice if someone actually died after all this, but I'm betting everyone miraculously survives except maybe Hyouga, the only morally grey character still on team Senku that was also the only 1 flagged as possibly dying. At least the ED change was a nice touch. |
| This episode just makes you realize that there won't always be people to help you out, and that you'll have to learn how to survive on your own. Senku truly is an inspirational figure. Very nice episode. |

Another amazing episode, full of intense action and feelings. Seeing Senku and Xeno talking before the petrification, and seeing Stan recognizing the defeat was awesome, but the title of best scene goes to Suika crying wishing everyone to come back. |

felt really bad for suika tho. senku left that responsibly on her fully knowing that little squirt can't do shit as she is now and next time he sees her she's gonna be a fully grown adult. hope she's not gonna be a grandma like in interstellar. lol

| I honestly would have appreciated a "The End" at Suika's breakdown. I guess it fits with the greed is good and mad scientist main thing, but this petrify the whole world to save it plan is very much the kind of ends justify the means approach that usually the heroes are fighting against. Our heroes are so confident that only they can be right that they'll chance extinction and take away the chance of individual survival from at least 3 known human enclaves to maybe win on a really risky plan. Like would we have cheered Stanley taking the last shot at the jar? It's not very different from what the good guys did. I don't necessarily dislike it as a direction, but I think it needs some perspective. |

| Fucking Luna, man. I just can't with this joke of a character smh. And as for Stanley and his soldiers not being able to hit a blind running child... I don't know. Guess I feel half-annoyed/half-relieved by this plot convenience. Another meh episode but at least I'm somewhat glad my guesses from last episode ended up being partially correct: - Timeskip ✅ - Revival fluid being conveniently placed so that one of the characters gets de-petrified ✅ - Reset of the story with someone starting from scratch just like Senkuu did ✅ But seriously, imagine putting the fate of humanity on the shoulders of the cute little mascot girl who has bad eyesight and has to survive in probably the most dangerous natural place on earth. It's so ridiculous. Why not Chrome? Even Chelsea would have been a more reasonable option. |
