There were a few tonal whiplash moments I wasn’t a fan of, like when it showed Stanley gun down some characters (and in the moment it looked like Suika was one of them), and then right after it cuts to Luna being a goofy ass, coulda done without that but otherwise this was a fantastic episode. It sure was something seeing everyone react to being stoned again, some for the first time like those back in the original village, I really liked the words from Senku about humanity coming back no matter how long it takes, as well as why he could never have agreed to work with Xeno, it is sad they couldn’t have walked the same path but what’s done is done. I also liked the thought process from Stanley, who could have ruined the chances of humanity’s return from the second stone wave, and he ultimately chose not to, even knowing he would probably be a permanent statue, I know he gunned down several characters we know and love including sweet Kohaku, but even now I can’t hate Stanley, he is one cool mf.

And wow, for the first person to come back being Suika, it feels perfect honestly, I don’t know how much time passed before she woke up (there was a lot of overgrowth, I’m gonna guess many years), but I’m guessing we’re gonna see Suika become a teen or maybe even an adult before she either finds some revival fluid, or makes her own. I wanna say maybe Luna and Chelsea had some but if they’re planning to have Suika grow up like I’m thinking, then it’s probably not that simple. Either way, it was heartbreaking seeing poor Suika all alone, but by the end of the episode she seemed to be feeling better about it after we got a callback to how Senku was the only human at the very start of the show, and now it’s Suika’s turn. And nice changes to the ED for this one, everyone being gone except for Suika, it really added to the events of the episode, it’s times like this I’m glad I never skip OPs or EDs lol.

Ahhhh, it burns, it hurts.... If the last episode wasn't painful enough, this one filled me with so much sorrow and sadness.

Suika's little friends. The dog and the boar, they were so sweet, just like Iban, guarding the statues in the village, growing up and faithfully waiting for the return of their beloved Suika. It would break my heart if they died before she could be reunited with them.

The burden she now carries is immense. Like Senkuu, she is alone, tasked with reviving everyone. But unlike him, she doesn't have his knowledge, and is just a little girl. Seeing her cry was very hard. What a brutal episode.

Peak stone!!! Goddamn what a twist i really love this anime cause my predictions are surpassed all the time. So happy to see suika revived but after that and once she realized there's no more revival fluid it felt hopeless and seeing suika cry made me cry too. Now i assume she'll have to make it from scratch but i doubt she can do it alone so maybe there's a leftover somewhere. Then we will get a timeskip and see either teen or adult suika i can't wait xD

Man, to see Suika all alone was harsh but she has managed to survive. I was scared when thinking about that jaguar prowling around.

My blood boiled when I saw Stanley shoot Suika's pumpkin helmet. I would have hoped they broke his statue when they eventually revived.

Ukyo's "super" hearing can apparently differentiate a gun shot hitting Senku versus other people. Ok.

I was already not a fan of the set up for this plot twist, but THIS is what they're betting on to revive humanity??? Ain't no way you cannot make use of a cracked saucer and whatever other things they have around to get fluid to drip down onto someone. This feels too cute by half to try to do something clever with their sound tech that just ends up being really dumb. Here's an idea, have Gen stay up there and start pouring the fluid into that cracked saucer when the beam arrives so it fills up after he petrifies and drips down onto Suika or whoever. Or hang it from some strong rope and set the rope on fire a few seconds before the wave hits. Nah, gotta make it super complicated and dramatic to drag things out.

I mean, if Stanley can light up a cigarette while he's being petrified surely someone can manage to use the fluid intelligently. The annoying "cool" girl has been completely useless since administering minor first aid in the last cour so of course she cannot do anything useful now.

The worst part of all this is being dragged out is we already know how it will end. Suika will eventually revive Senku, and he will help revive everyone else as they "restart" in the stone world again. It would be nice if someone actually died after all this, but I'm betting everyone miraculously survives except maybe Hyouga, the only morally grey character still on team Senku that was also the only 1 flagged as possibly dying.

At least the ED change was a nice touch.

This episode just makes you realize that there won't always be people to help you out, and that you'll have to learn how to survive on your own. Senku truly is an inspirational figure. Very nice episode.

F*cking Stanley!! Spraying unarmed teens and kids with assault rifles.

He better be seeing some consequences to all of this. He better be the last person on earth to ever be revived again.

I won't be happy if he just ends up being "buddies 😊" with the Science Kingdom, like most of the other former-enemies in the story so far.

Can't believe it. They really went for the method where everyone got petrified. Senku got shot again. It feels like it's a habit at this point. Poor guy. But it wasn't just him; basically everyone got mowed down by those gun-loving assholes. What happens to the bullets that stay inside them when they get petrified? I guess we'll never know.

But man, what a task Suika got assigned to. When I started the series back in 2019, I never could've predicted Suika out of all people would suddenly become the main character. But it fits so well. She's now the only human who's alive. And there's no easy way for her to bring everyone back. Fuck, that must be lonely as hell. Even the ED changed to only depict her. I got chills. It has been a long time since Dr. STONE made me feel like this. I'd say Science Future Part 2 has surpassed Part 1 by now. This feels like peak Dr. STONE. This episode went by so fast. I can't wait to see what Suika does next.
@0451 I forget the amount of time they established in the manga, it's apparently around 3 years and the amount of time she takes is comparable, if not more. If Chrome had been tasked with it, probably would've taken less time, but I feel like Suika needed a moment like this for the series, she's mostly relegated to support and being the cute imouto archetype

@Fligert How would they have been able to do that? They relied on the preexisting message from Why Man for 12,800,000 meters, so they couldn't have changed the input.

I feel that episode 10 is more perfect than the previous episodes, which were more complex and filled with battles and gunfire.
The story and the music used as the background were a perfect match.
I could even feel what it was like to be Suika, an innocent little child who had to rise and survive alone, especially since she had to find a way to make the revival fluid. We know that several chemical ingredients are needed, and without being an expert, that would be extremely difficult.

I could also sense the fear, loneliness, sadness, and emotional struggle marked by Suika’s tears and cries.
But then Suika was forced to stay strong.

Perfectly fitting, this is episode 10, and I would give it a rating of 10 out of 10.

I feel that episode 10 is more perfect than the previous ones, which were more complex with battles and gunfire.
The story and the background music matched perfectly, truly enhancing the atmosphere.

I could almost feel what it was like to be Suika, an innocent little child who had to rise up and survive all alone. On top of that, she had to figure out how to create the revival fluid. We know that several chemical ingredients are required, and without deep knowledge, it would seem almost impossible.

I could also sense the fear, loneliness, sadness, and emotions reflected in Suika’s tears and cries. Yet, in the end, Suika was forced to stay strong.
Those long, torturous moments of solitude felt like a kind of redemption for her—especially considering that in episode 8, Senku’s team’s plan slightly went off track due to Suika’s kindness and naivety when she helped the enemy (Charlotte), who had been poisoned by a spider bite.

This episode truly highlights Suika’s character growth. From a little child who was often seen as unable to do much, she became a key figure carrying everyone’s hopes. Her emotional journey pulls the audience in and makes us share in her suffering.

Perfectly fitting, this is episode 10—and I confidently give it a 10 out of 10.

These are my thoughts during the episode. I haven’t done this in a while, but honestly, this is the best Dr. Stone has ever been. I did ask ChatGPT to rewrite this to make it easier to read, but its mostly exactly what I typed out during the episode.

After the last episode, I said that since the petrification beam already activated, Senku wouldn’t have a way to revive himself other than staying conscious for 3,700 years. This episode immediately proved me wrong. Apparently, Senku always keeps a bottle of revival fluid on him. He could have used it to revive himself, but he got shot, destroying the bottle—and with it, his chance to revive.

At the opening, it looks like everyone is going to be petrified for thousands of years again, which was my prediction going into this episode. I think the title, “Until We Meet Again,” aligns with that. This is something I’d love a good therapist to weigh in on—what does that do to a person mentally, knowing they need to stay conscious for thousands of years to ensure their revival?

I’m more emotional than usual today. I’m writing this the day after Charlie Kirk’s assassination and on the 24th anniversary of 9/11. It’s an emotional time—but Dr. Stone is really capturing the emotion of the story here. I haven’t felt this moved since the fight against Ibara.

Suika and Francois have a bottle of revival fluid. If they can get it, they might still have a chance—but if not, they could be petrified until the 95th century. I feel like they’re going to fail this time, because that would make the story more insane. But if they do survive, everything becomes easy: they could go to the moon and solve the mystery of the “Why Man.”

I think the “Why Man” could be some kind of super-intelligent AI since it replicated Senku’s voice. If no one survives the petrification this time, that’s a win for the Why Man, and it will come down to who revives first after thousands of years.

Also, it’s been a few years in-universe since season 1, yet Suika looks exactly the same.

4:28 mark:

NO NO NO NO. Zeno just had his people kill Ukyo, Francois, and Suika! What about the revival fluid? Is it destroyed, or will Xeno take it? Or is it too late to matter?

I’m hoping for a Why Man victory here. They’re showing all of this season’s cast, but I hope they show the villagers back in Japan too. The backup revival team—Luna and the new girl whose name I don’t remember—are petrified.

Update: Xeno doesn’t have the fluid. Suika took it. She’s running with it! Will she revive herself, someone else, or fail?

In 2023, I was talking to Bing AI, and I thought it gave me a Dr. Stone spoiler about Suika. I assumed it was wrong after season 3 ended—but maybe it’s actually happening now.

6:47 mark:

Suika got the revival fluid to Gen, and he’s putting it in the mechanism. Does this mean Senku is winning the battle? I’m actually rooting against Senku this time because the insanity of another Stone World reset would be incredible.

Senku is telling Suika to get under the tower. Does that mean she’ll be the one to revive? When will it happen, and what will she be able to do? Suika is making herself useful—woohoo! She just climbed like a cat.

It seems the mechanism is damaged and might eventually break, dropping the revival fluid on Suika. Stanley might try to stop this. I think Stanley is going to shoot the fluid to prevent anyone from reviving, giving Why Man a temporary victory.

Even if the top members of both groups die, humans would eventually revive and rebuild civilization. Maybe Why Man would petrify them again—but eventually, humanity would triumph. Defeating Why Man likely means going to the moon and disabling whatever it is. I imagine it’s a self-repairing, solar-powered AI on the moon.

I’m not sure what made Senku think to go to the moon—maybe the medusas falling from the sky?

Stanley didn’t shoot:

Suika will eventually be revived! But what can she do alone? She doesn’t have revival fluid, and she likely doesn’t know how to make more. She can barely survive by herself. Suika being the only survivor might be more dangerous than no one reviving.

Yes! They’re showing the villagers. It’s been so long since I’ve seen Kokuro—I couldn’t even remember his name a couple of days ago.

The petrification beam has covered the whole Earth. Everyone is petrified. I’m only 11 minutes into the episode, but I’ve already been watching for 43 minutes—this episode is that good. I have to pause to process everything.

I didn’t consider the pets—they’re so sad. All the villagers are petrified, leaving the pets alone. Now I really don’t want a 3,700-year petrification. Please let Suika revive immediately and go back to Japan to revive everyone.

Years pass, and the pets have grown up. A tiger is going to defeat the Why Man? Chalk is waiting for Suika. I didn’t know there were tigers in South America, but I guess they have to be somewhere.

Who saved the day? Thor or Zeus? Suika is revived, but now what? Clearly, years have passed, so I doubt any other bottles of revival fluid still exist. She’ll have to make more—but how?

Suika didn’t get petrified before, so her eyes weren’t healed. Are they healed now? She has clothes on, so what she was wearing inside the tower survived. But why aren’t her eyes healed—genetics maybe?

This is not good. A young girl is alone in South America and can barely see. She has a slim chance of reviving anyone, and now she’s climbing high places without any safety equipment. Suika was the wrong person for this task—if she didn’t get petrified, she could easily revive Senku, but now everyone is petrified, and she doesn’t have any fluid.

Suika is literally the only person on Earth right now. What would a therapist say about this?

Senku and Xeno are definitely counting the seconds right now.

You ain’t no shiny monkey, you’re a watermelon, bro—it’s not gonna work! You can’t become Senku.

Suika doesn’t have the repellent from the ants, which means she won’t survive the spiders. Apparently… Suika is a shiny monkey after all.

My thoughts after the episode (this part was not edited by ChatGPT):

Instead of a hard reset of the stone world, a soft reset happened. Suika is on her own replicating what Senku did all the way back in Season 1 Episode 1. It's going to be difficult but I think she will be able to get the job done and revive everyone. Though I think Suika surviving this doesn't really make sense. She doesn't have any of the protection needed to survive here as shown just 2 episodes ago. Suika surviving is pure luck. It would be more realistic for Senku to revive on his own in 3700 years and win that way. I'm predicting that the young science team will be revived by the end of the next episode, and then by the end of the episode after that everyone in Japan will be revived. Also even if they didn't have to resort to the why-man petrifying everyone, they would still have to petrify Japan. I believe the medusa was in California. That's closer to Japan than Araxa. I believe everyone will be able to be revived. The only one I'm worried about is Hyoga. Tsukasa said that Hyoga had perished already. I'm feeling so much emotion after this episode. It sucks having to wait a week for the next one.

I honestly would have appreciated a "The End" at Suika's breakdown. I guess it fits with the greed is good and mad scientist main thing, but this petrify the whole world to save it plan is very much the kind of ends justify the means approach that usually the heroes are fighting against. Our heroes are so confident that only they can be right that they'll chance extinction and take away the chance of individual survival from at least 3 known human enclaves to maybe win on a really risky plan. Like would we have cheered Stanley taking the last shot at the jar? It's not very different from what the good guys did. I don't necessarily dislike it as a direction, but I think it needs some perspective.

Although Suika being the one on whom the task of reviving everyone else all alone fell is more emotion-evoking and empathy-inducing since she's still a little kid, I'd have preferred to see Chrome be the second restitutor orbis, surviving the harsh tropical conditions of Brazil and overcoming obstacle after obstacle using his scientific knowledge he inherited from Senku until he arrives at creating the revival fluid nital from scratch. A fragile, disabled little child that Suika is would in no way be able to survive all by herself in the wilderness, realistically speaking. We were literally shown a jaguar roaming around. I don't think her turtle-y tactics of holing up inside her melon will work on ferocious animals. Not even mentioning venomous bugs and malaria-carrying mosquitos.

Chrome is the perfect candidate for the task. He has immense faith and willpower like Taiju; considerable scientific knowledge being the disciple of Senku; and decent artisanal talent like Kaseki. He is the most curious and creative of all the Science Kingdom members and has also sort of experienced being ostracized back then thus being able to fend for himself. I think it'd suited him far better to go through the same difficulties and processes Senku did as he's basically a primitive version of Senku and represents the human ingenuity.

Some may object that if Chrome had been the one, it'd have been way too easy, repetitive and bland; but I'd argue we could have had a few fun episodes where Chrome would have solved the problems he'd have encountered in his own unique ways.

Fucking Luna, man. I just can't with this joke of a character smh.
And as for Stanley and his soldiers not being able to hit a blind running child... I don't know. Guess I feel half-annoyed/half-relieved by this plot convenience.

Another meh episode but at least I'm somewhat glad my guesses from last episode ended up being partially correct:
- Timeskip ✅
- Revival fluid being conveniently placed so that one of the characters gets de-petrified ✅
- Reset of the story with someone starting from scratch just like Senkuu did ✅

But seriously, imagine putting the fate of humanity on the shoulders of the cute little mascot girl who has bad eyesight and has to survive in probably the most dangerous natural place on earth. It's so ridiculous. Why not Chrome? Even Chelsea would have been a more reasonable option.

I was stunned when it looked like Suika got shot in the beginning. I figured there was no way it'd go that far even if it was off screen, and sure enough she wasn't.The montage after the petrification was great, I almost thought it was going to be the rest of the episode.

I'm very interested to see what happens next. Suika crying was actually hard to watch, but it really sold how bad the situation is from her end. Senku was calm and collected but she’s just a little kid and has this giant responsibility now. I wonder if we get some time skip and see get aged up before reviving the others.
