| Rintaro's never had friends over at his house, so his friends decided to ask if they could come over on Saturday. Of course, Rintaro's mind is elsewhere as he keeps thinking about Kaoruko. He agrees, and they go over, only to have Kaoruko and Subaru show up unexpectedly. They all eat together, enjoy each other's company, and find out all about Rintaro's blond hair and earrings. And at the end, it looks like they're all going to be studying together and go to the beach in the near future. This was a pretty fun episode. This developed their friendships more, as well as showing Rintaro's mom's relationship with him. We also get to see his brother and dad for the first time. But what is going on with his mom at the end? |

| Aww that was cute how the guys came over and had fun at Rintarou’s place. The girls were a fun addition to the group! Love the mom for what she did with her hair and for always supporting her son :) |

I had read Manga till chapter 26. And I thought it would cover anime. But it looks like I'm wrong and they won't add any original content here. Specials rarely gets adoptation though. Let's see how many chapters shall be covered till last episode.
By the way, does anyone knows? In which chapter confession was made?

| “I swear I’m getting old.” Damn, that hit me a bit as well. The mother is a real one for what she did. I’m sure she’s beyond overwhelmed with relief and happiness to see a day like this transpire. This was probably one of the top episodes for me so far. Seeing a casual setting like this everyone just enjoying each other’s company. Even Subaru is starting to get more comfortable a bit as well. I hope this can get a cour 2. |

| Mom stuff was sweet, she’s such a sweet mom and I thought her reaction to her son being happy among friends was the best part of the episode, but I didn’t care as much for the trauma dumping bit, I think I would have liked it more if we got more examples of Rintaro being mistreated in school, all we got was some girl saying it wasn’t fitting that he lives at a cake shop, I know words can hurt but imo it wasn’t convincing enough to warrant the moment Rintaro told his mom he was giving up. But that aside, this was still a good episode, it was nice to see Rintaro finally show his place off to his pals and also the entire gang hanging out together like they’ve been friends for years, definitely heartwarming stuff. I just wonder what happened with Rintaro’s dad and brother, they were in the flashback but we ain’t seen anything about them in the present, I can take a guess as to where they’re at but I’ll hold off for now. |

| Rintaro had plans to hang out with his friends for the day, only for a wild Waguri to appear! It would have been really awkward if not for the fact that Kaoruko is a ray of sunshine :D |
| AHHHHH DAMN IT, MY HEART—I’M CRYING. Kyouko is a true mother. Her relationship with Rintarou is absolutely beautiful—she’s a woman who would sacrifice everything for her son’s well-being and is always there to support him. It was so touching to see her happy, knowing that her beloved, kind-hearted son finally has friends who value and care for him. That expression of a proud, joyful mother watching her child grow—it was priceless. And the most beautiful part was seeing Rintarou thank her, because he knows it’s thanks to her that he’s had the strength to stay true to himself and meet people who appreciate him for who he is. I wonder what happened to Rintarou’s father and brother. From Kyouko’s memories, it doesn’t seem like they were separated, but I really hope there’s no tragic backstory—I couldn’t handle it. What a beautiful episode. |
