Hey, Gris is alive.. surprise!!!

Or maybe not lol. Anyway, jokes aside, that guy didn't deserve dying this early and this easily. If anything, it was thanks to his lucky charm, these guys made it out alive in the first place, so this is the bare minimum.

Thank god btw, the boss on the good guy's side ain't a ghost lol. He exists, and he has that interesting theory as well. Though Rudo should calm his tits xD

THANK GOD GRIS IS ALIVE!! This was a nice chill episode for Rudo to fully become part of the cleaners and we got to meet the boss! I love how welcoming and accepting everyone is of Rudo and he’s more than earned his keep with how he put himself on the line for the cleaners, only right they help him find a way back to the sphere.

Ryo screentime! She’s soo cute I love how excited she gets watching Rudo enjoying stuff for the first time like the sweets! That camera angle as they were walking around HQ was so funny tho.

Ok who are these people that are after Rudo 🤔 what’s a watchman series? I wonder if Regto or Rudo’s parents were originally from the ground and took those gloves from some organization and now they’re after him to get them back? Lot of questions, I’m gonna have to start reading this lol

I thought we were going places and there was going to be a ceremony for the deceased Gris.
Nope, not in a generic shounen. Gris is ok ofc, I liked him but even if they have a healer, a wound that grave wouldn't have lasted enough to be tended considering how long it took for the reinforcements to arrive.

The last scene of what I assume is the big bad spouting key words just to grab the audience was a bit cheap, but I guess it works.

Words can't describe how happy I am to know that Gris is alive. In fact, no one died from the last battle! I can only hope it remain this peaceful throughout the story but of course the author is not gonna be that kind.

Boss finally appear and he's hot! Now make me be a middle of sandwich between him and Enjin. Wait, the raider's boss is hot as well, make it 4P please!

It's quite obvious that the sweet is a metaphor for drug in this anime, and I'm glad Rudo's addiction over sweet is over...?

I notice that while Rudo is touring the faculty, apparently the faculty has unisex toilet, something I assume can only exist in utopia setting, so I'm quite surprised to see it exist in dystopia setting as well.

Of course, the highlight of the episode is more information about how power work in this anime. Is this the first anime that has sustainable battle system where weapons that went through proper waste management is stronger than a new first-hand weapon? I love such an eco-friendly concept.

Rudo finally meets the boss and he's a cool dude, in both personality and design. Since we're between arcs, now is the perfect time for Rudo to try and get a grip on how his powers work. He needs to work on his stamina though.

Another ominous cliffhanger showing us the Raider boss, who's also in possession of an item in the "Watchmen" series. The story is getting more interesting. Also, I'm glad Gris wasn't killed off this early (even if him surviving doesn't come off as all that shocking).
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

We worried over Gris for no reason like Rudo lol
Anyway, good to see him in one piece.
Finally, the Cleaners' boss makes an appearance.
We hear the story from the boss about a mysterious woman who has seen somebody go up and down. The boss looks mysterious. He might be hiding something.
Riyo is a treasure among the trash. Loving her character so much..❤️❤️🫶
How much sweets did Rudo even stuff to get that big !? xD
We got to know the full extent of Rudo's abilities more or less. Rudo's gloves allow him to use discarded items to their maximum capacity until they reduce into nothing. And the number of items that he can use seems to be limited to 2 or 3 due to the effects it has on his body. It might also depend on the nature of the item, I guess.
Finally, we got a glimpse of Raiders' boss who might know about Rudo and his gloves which belongs to the Watchmen series.
So far it has only been more world building. I'm glad we got 24 episodes this season to see more action.

Rudo developing a sugar addiction was funny 😆, his body ability to gain so much weight in a short time is impressive to say the least, heh, his diet regimen is surely just as impressive.

TRAINING ARC!!!

I gotta say I did not expect a foodie joke in this series. But We got one. Regardless the main point I want to clarify is HEY PARTY people it seems like the guy from previous episode was not dead. Who would have though that? But more importantly, Rudo is not cringe maxxing by being moody about he's protector passing, and the boss finally recruited him. YIPEE that being said though, I was not expecting the boss to be black. HALLELUJAH!

And the story the boss told might end up being the origins of the cleaners, from the bosses perspective. Or it could be that the raiders boss and the cleaners boss are/were friends and that story ties them together or something. I am speculating too much. there is not much I could guess, most the power system I want to write about is already written from previous episode "review" and I am repeating myself.

SO I will probably write a rating then call it.

Plot: 8/10
relaxing/healing at base for both the enemy and heros of our story

Theme: 7/10
Training arcs

Characters: 10/10
Rudo is cute, and his trainer is even cuter. When can I bang Ms. Riyou Reaper

Ost: 8/10
banger op/ed but lacking sound track for some
parts of the dialog

Overall: 9/10
Training arc episodes are chock full of lore bits here and there. And if you pay close attention a foreshadowing can be spelled out in most shonen training arcs. I am not good at those so overall I just turned my brain off to enjoy the chill atmosphere this episode

Anyway, thats all Im going to write and joke about
BYEEE
TOP FIVE THIS SEASON

  • Gachiakuta
  • The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity

  • Clevatess

I'm so glad Gris is alive, he's a treasure. And I feel like it's nice to keep an emotionally mature, supportive big brother figure in the story.

That line about no one going alone to No Mans Land is interesting... Rudo is asking the right question, why was Enjin just chilling there on his own when he found Rudo? Especially considering he openly states that it's something no one should do? I didn't really think about it before, but since they pointed that out I feel like it's important.

I like the dynamic they're building between Cleaners and Raiders - both are Givers so both must deeply care for their treasured objects, even if Raiders are bad people at odds with our protagonist. And since Givers are apparently treated like weirdos by other people (as mentioned by Enjin), it must put both groups in an interesting position in the world on the Ground I think. I'm curious what this conflict will look like, but I think I'm even more curious about the rest of the world around them.

The HQ looks so cool I'm loving all the graffiti art

Zanka's reluctant mentor role in the story is so funny to me xD He skips pretty much all social gatherings and emotional moments, I suspect that the only reason he's in that training session with Rudo is cause Enjin and Riyo made him do it. But when he tries he's actually quite good at helping Rudo understand his powers, since he's so observant! Why did he look so disgusted when Rudo thanked him though, what is this guys problem xD It's also hilarious that despite trying to seem so serious all the time he always gets giddy when praised by Enjin haha

Riyos revelation about Rudo's power is so cool - it's so fitting for his character to make sure that no object thrown away too soon is wasted. When he was little he cried at seeing things thrown into trash when there's still so much potential in them. Now he has the power that gives them a second chance.

As for the gloves, maybe the reason that their quality is too much for Rudo to handle is because he's not the only one who put a lot of care into this object?

I'm happy Gris is alright and even happier about getting more Riyo!

There's a special comfort in the idea of giving what's broken a big final moment to shine before retiring it for good. Rudo's ability just keeps getting cooler the more we learn about it.

@Sigmar-Unberogen

I was thinking it's nice that they give it at least some limitations, at the onset it seemed extremely overpowered. But he is the MC after all, so it's always gonna be OP to some degree. And he will probably "unlock" more abilities as the series goes on would be my guess.

Not a bad episode, it's cool to see Rudo slowly discover what his power is. Riyou's words were especially nice for Rudo to hear. He's really been put down all his life, but with the Cleaners, they've shown a lot of support for him. It was easy to interpret his powers as destructive, but instead it's like they're giving objects a second chance. That's really in line with his affinity for trash.

Really happy Gris is alive, but at the same time, it's a bit eyerolling to build up all of this drama about his death just to reveal he's fine. At least the healer girl was insanely cute.

Nice cooldown episode after the nonstop action of the previous few episodes. First of all, nice to see Gris is alive, Rudo really thought bro died before he got into the room he was staying in lol, I’m glad we can all laugh at Rudo being silly here instead of how things could have turned out. And wow Gris is lucky, he got saved by such a cutie with that Eishia girl, I’m curious as to what her power is in detail. And we also met the leader of the cleaners, Arkha, who seems pretty cool, and he ended up giving Rudo info on where he can head next, this lady sounds pretty intriguing.

And there was also the Riyo tour bit which I really liked, the fact she walked into the men’s bathroom while someone was in there lol, and then came the sweets bit which I gotta say, was not expecting the snippet of the future we saw at first being a massively inflated Rudo lol, that was wild, and Zanka’s reaction was priceless. Rest of the episode was dedicated to further exploring Rudo’s power, I really liked the amount of layers there are to it, like it went from Rudo bringing out the absolute worth of an object, to essentially laying them to rest after he gives them one last proper use, it’s really cool stuff imo. But unfortunately Rudo can’t just rapidly make weapons, but it’s good they found this out now and not mid battle later, and then the whole “series” thing came up again, well it looks like the boss of the Raiders has something in that series too so there might be someone out there with a similar power to Rudo’s, that’s what I gather from it anyway.

Hopefully this gets more seasons. I checked the Oricon top 50 best-selling manga of 2024 list (which the information was only released 4 months ago), and it failed to reach the top 50. That is not a good sign. Manga like Kagurabachi, Kindergarten Wars and Gokurakugai all made it on there, but Gachiakuta didn't. Gachiakuta is a weekly manga too, so it releases 5 volumes a year, and still failed to sell enough volumes to make it in to the top 50.

OK, Gris being alive is an utter disappointment for me.

Guy was hearth stabbed and was just brought back with no setbacks. This just lowers the stakes, when should be worried for the characters? when will the danger be real?

I really disliked that of this episode, but even so, I love Gachiakuta as a whole.
