| I don’t hoard, but I don’t throw things away. Worst comes to worst I donate stuff if I don’t need it anymore. I genuinely can never understand people throwing things away, I’ve seen people take perfectly good furniture and household stuff to landfills. If we recycled more maybe we wouldn’t have so much trash in the land and the ocean. |

| I think that it's a good message, especially in the age of overconsumption, to value the things we have. I don't think it's about hoarding, the objects Rudo uses do fall apart entirely in the end after they lived to the fullest. It is pointed out that these piles of garbage are filled with things that can still be of use (much like in the real world). It's more about not throwing things away prematurely and taking good care of your belongings. And about recycling instead of throwing away. But also to me the sentimental aspect is relatable, there are things that it just doesn't feel right to throw away, even after a long time that some would consider ridiculous xD As a kid I've had the same plushie since birth and hang onto it even after it became really rough. And I kept it to this day, cause it just feels wrong to get rid of it haha |
