Rudo is the kind of guy who love his belongings. I also don’t throw away my belongings like an old phone for example, even though it was broken because I have been together with it for so long and had been very helpful to me. Throw it away will make me feel really bad about it. Anyone else feel the same way?

Me too feel the same about all my toys from childhood and all my books and notes from my college prep and my first school bag, etc. the list goes on.....

Same. I have a tablet that i got in 2014, it doesn't even work properly and its screen is in shambles. but, i cannot even think about throwing it away. I have so many precious memories with it. I hope one day, I could get it fixed.

I don’t hoard, but I don’t throw things away. Worst comes to worst I donate stuff if I don’t need it anymore. I genuinely can never understand people throwing things away, I’ve seen people take perfectly good furniture and household stuff to landfills. If we recycled more maybe we wouldn’t have so much trash in the land and the ocean.

I think that it's a good message, especially in the age of overconsumption, to value the things we have. I don't think it's about hoarding, the objects Rudo uses do fall apart entirely in the end after they lived to the fullest. It is pointed out that these piles of garbage are filled with things that can still be of use (much like in the real world). It's more about not throwing things away prematurely and taking good care of your belongings. And about recycling instead of throwing away.

But also to me the sentimental aspect is relatable, there are things that it just doesn't feel right to throw away, even after a long time that some would consider ridiculous xD As a kid I've had the same plushie since birth and hang onto it even after it became really rough. And I kept it to this day, cause it just feels wrong to get rid of it haha
