I mean fair enough. Toon force aside goku in ss1 has a high enough power level to destroy stars and possibly entire solar systems. The strongest one piece character (who ever you think that is) probably wouldn’t even beat kid goku in the tien saga.

Planet busters started in dragonball since the saiyans were introduced. Moon busters started in dragonball. Luffy never reached those levels probably since it would wreck world building ideas.

100% agree because you mostly care about the world and characters not the power levels like Dragon Ball where you watch mostly for fight scenes and story arcs and how strong each character is!!

@GTRaijin I don't know man One Piece fans and Dragon Ball fans have been having wars since One Piece first aired and it's only gotten worse due to Toei not being able to even animate anything Dragon Ball related and mostly work on One Piece when fans of both can't understand the legal issues with Dragon Ball that's been going on since 2022!!

Oda has never actually said this. That post was created by DBZ Exclusives, and they're well known for posting misinformation and ragebait.

However, the statement is still correct. If they had just removed Odas name from it, it would have been fine.

Honestly that's fine.
As a fan of both series I'd say I appreciate that comment.
It's so hard to get invested when the stakes get otherworldly and when it's not as grounded anymore.

This is why Dragon Ball Super wasn't as entertaining for me as Dragon Ball Z was, Z at least felt like it gradually went where it was supposed to as where Super suddenly brought in so many different ideas and problems they had to face.
Not to mention the bubbly clean look in it's art style and animation, just couldn't get into it as much compared to Z's art style.

I'd be pissed if One Piece suddenly was about planet destroyers, alternate universes and the likes.

no shit it's super Sayian, like don't get me wrong Luffy's my favorite character One Piece is my favorite Anime gear 5 Luffy is my favorite version, and I like One Piece more than DBZ, but we're talking literally gods here. Sayians are probably the strongest race in fiction. Let's be logical here

@CursedRage You got a good point, I've always thought it was stupid of how people think certain characters can beat Dragon Ball characters like just think if they are gods themselves. Now Goku vs Ryuk now that's a real fight!! If Luffy can't beat Master Roshi then why would he be able to beat Goku.
