Rock Lady is in the house, baby! The performance was incredible. Each of the girls had their moment to shine in front of an audience that expected nothing from them, and was even cheering them on. Lilisa helped Otoha realize that she could find that same passion performing for others, and seeing the Bacchus guys absolutely shattered by the girls' words was just phenomenal.

It's a shame it's over. I really hope we get another season with these lesbian damsels with trucker vocab.

This anime was such a banger from start to finish ! Blew me away I did not know what to expect. Amazing music, beautiful art, stunning characters so much passion and so much rock.

Really feels underappreciated overall how damn good it is ! I hope it gets a S2.

Rock Lady rocked! They blew the audience away and those boy band posers never stood a chance. Their lead singer absolutely lost his shit and even tried to attack Lilisa! Fortunately Tsukasa was there to watch their back and put some judo moves on the little shit. I'll reiterate I am quite disappointed with the choice of competition. I wish they'd fought a proper rock band and had their talent acknowledged by their peers.

Overall I really enjoyed this anime. However there is a glaring plot point that was never addressed, that being Lilisa's mother and their shared history and why her mother is so obsessed with being a proper lady she is trying to bend Lilisa to fit a hole that is clearly unsuited for her. I really hope that this gets more than the one season.
9/10 I want to keep rocking!

I have to say that as cathartic as the performance and the subsequent dressing-down of Bacchus was, this was a fairly disappointing finale.

First disappointment: manager kid snapping the SD card. I was hoping that that video would be posted. With this setup, all the interesting drama happens once these clandestine schoolgirls have been exposed to all. Well, maybe some of their new fans recorded their encore and posted it. I hope so.

Second disappointment: nothing really went wrong with the performance or the audience control or anything. It was just smooth sailing from beginning to end. Even Otoha's reservations were completely resolved without any issue. That was set up to be something much bigger than it ended up being.

Third (and possibly biggest) disappointment: no twist at all in the end to set up another season. Which says they aren't really certain they'll get one. I have faith it will go on, but I really did want to see something concrete here.

All that said, I can't say I didn't like it on the whole, just for the excellent imagery alone. It's more that I set my expectations for drama and ramping tensions so high that this denouement was bound to feel like a let-down.

Well, they did a little fake out with Otoha wondering if they should have a vocalist, but then is was like- psych! Instrumental all the way to Fuji Rock baby!

Perfectly done final episode. Goshhhh that performance was so fucking good I got tears in my eyes 😭 Last time I had this feeling was when I watched episode 11 of girls band cry. So it's safe to say I LOVE GIRLS BAND ANIME because damn, no other genre just does it for me. The power of rock music just gives me such a huge adrenaline pump I'm lowkey feeling like Oto craving for more of the adrenaline shots...

From the start, I really liked the concept of this show. Combining the ojou sama archetype which usually shows them being more of the elegant and reserved type with the rebellious and carefree vibe of rock is just, THE BEST combination ever. The message of not giving a fuck whatever anyone says is just so liberating.

With great direction, animation, and a powerful cast of lesbian rock ladies, this show will likely be one of the best anime this year in my totally not biased opinion. 9/10

@pixelante yeah, I found that moment a little bit hard to believe. The idea that Otoha would out of nowhere lose her guiding star just because she was mistaken about one little thing is a bit...far-fetched. I mean, honestly, her misgivings were perfectly understandable. She had every reason to believe Lilisa was leading them astray. Like up until that moment, it was pretty clear that the reason she was so excited about getting another live show is that she wanted to feel that passion and energy again, and yet suddenly she's talking about the importance of winning over fans? Something wasn't quite connecting for me. Something felt rushed. She seemed like the last person in the world to be worrying about what fans want, and the first person looking to force them to give her what she wants, so I just didn't expect those doubts to come from her.

Man they  gave a full performance. Kept thinking it would  cut off   but instead it blew the roof off. That "boys band" made me literally want to vomit they were so toxic. The girls eviscerated them in every way possible. Ya the yuri  between those two you could drown in. Though Lily  probably should be a bit worried considering that bondage sadist bit.

I do question though how will they get to Fuji Rock if they are hiding their performances from online and in general.

And just like that, rock Fridays come to an end. It was a good finale; in fact, I don't think the show could have ended in a better way. Hopefully this anime wasn't just for promoting the source material and we get a season 2; I would like it if more plot points got wrapped up in future anime seasons, such as Lilisa's home situation and Fuji Rock.

That was a solid performance. I especially like how crazy the camera went for Otoha's drum solo; it felt right. I swear, there is not a single female character in this show who is not partly lesbian. The random audience member saying "I want that bassist to dominate me!" was hilarious.

I lost it when the OP started playing for the final smack-talking session; it's just so hype for all the stupid reasons, which is completely on brand for this show. Bacchus was so trash, even Tina had to come in with the middle finger. M*n clearly don't deserve a spot in this show lol

And, of course, I have to talk about the ending. This isn't even yuri bait anymore... It's just greatness. Then, the Rock Ladies get to watch a firework, while Tina is excited about going to a corner store for the first time. It just feels right and made me want to see these idiots again in the future.

This was a ridiculous show that understood the assignment. The shojo elements plastered everywhere, terribly overt visual symbolism, and lesbianism that occurs every few minutes made it stupidly entertaining. The music was pretty neat as well; I especially like the rock rendition of Takarajima. I really like how well the music does the talking during performances; the energy of each performance is actually created without anyone telling me what to think. It's the power of an instrumental band, I suppose.

Overall, goodness this show is so gay.

Well the trash band got trashed and those toxic people got what they deserved.
Lilisa got Otoha to change her opinion and have fun on stage which was nice.
And the girl managed to sway the fans of the trash band which was also a good thing.

The bad thing is that the anime is over i would have liked to see more.
I really enjoyed this anime.

Great ending episode! Rocking harder than ever and perfectly setting up their collective dreams for the future. Season 2 please!!!
As a whole it was a lot of fun, really well animated and a fun mixture of characters clashing with one another causing friction and "friction". There are a few points where it got pretty slow and it didn't feel like either plot, character development, or the music were progressing, but outside of that this was great.

Gonna be honest, I had already stopped watching this show by episode 3. Like, it was entertaining but I wasn't really into it... Until a couple of weeks ago when I saw the clip of the reveal of Tina's huge boobs and started catching up. So thank you, Tina's bazongas, for bringing me back xD.

Once back, the performance from episode 5 clicked with me and from then on and with the appearance of the other members, I was on board.

Tina best girl btw, she is just the cutest <3. Seeing her put up her middle finger was funnily adorable. Also, I love the rivalry between Usami-chan and Shiraya lol.

So yeah, I guess that's it. It was a very fun show with some great music and you gotta love the moments when these ladies go completely crazy and start insulting other people xD.

EPISODE 13 JUST PUNCHED ME IN THE SOUL. INSTRUMENTAL GIRLS ROCKED SO HARD THEY SILENCED THE WHOLE DAMN CROWD. THEY SAID ‘ROCK ISN’T LADYLIKE? WATCH US’ AND WENT NUCLEAR.
I just watched episode 13 of Rock is a Lady’s Modesty and I am blown away. Watching the all-girl instrumental rock band absolutely shatter expectations, take over the stage, and win over a crowd that once mocked them — it was nothing short of electric. The way they silenced the vocal band — who had every traditional advantage — through pure passion, sound, and soul felt so right. But what truly hit me was when the main characters finally spoke their truth — saying that rock isn’t about being ladylike, it’s about being real. That moment when they put their critics in their place and stood tall for their dream… chills. Actual chills. I feel like I just watched not just a band win, but a revolution on stage. Women with guitars, unapologetic and loud, rewriting the rules of what it means to be powerful. Hell yeah

They wanted their identities to be unknown but you know damn well that shits gonna spread like wild fire, by the random fans. Probably would be an issue that pops up later in the manga / s2, and her whole backstory and why her mom is a psychopath. Definitely will follow the manga since I'm sure this wont get more seasons any time soon.

Who knew that yuri baiting sweating rock ladies would pique my interest.

Meh talk about anti-climatic. It started strong but midway it just got repetitive and honestly the last cartoonish "villains" were just too much. This anime also seemed to confuse "louder" as being good and relied too much on the main characters swearing instead of actually developing their character or even their music skills. Usually on anime like this, the performances were truly befitting the audience's applause but watching this anime it just felt undeserved. Ironically their best (and only) good performance was when they collaborated with the amateur orchestra and got worse as the last two members joined.

Very disappointing and easily one of the most mediocre band anime I've ever watched. 5/10

Great concert for the girls, now the public is convinced and they have begun to love them, it was time!! They have even found their band name and of course this is the show's title. So satisfying to see the boys band so mad at them ahaha especially with Ririsa taunting and all of the girls doing middle fingers, insane lol. Great ending, we need a sequel! That performance was god tier. I kind of wanted to see the other band perform too because I was curious, I thought they were actually gonna compete against each other and I think that would’ve been really interesting to see. The ending felt kinda half assed in my opinion with the rival lead throwing a tantrum and disqualifying himself. However, we got to see Rock Lady do a pretty mind blowing performance, so I can’t complain too much. I’ve always loved both instrumental music (video game soundtracks and the like) and rock, so when I heard this would be instrumental rock, I was hyped and the show absolutely delivered. I definitely want to hear more Rock Lady in the future!

Of course I also watched this show because people said it’s gay and yep, these bitches gay. Good for them.

Disappointing ending. When what you want is to show a confrontation between rock bands at the climax of the series, and the opposing band are simply clowns with no level of skill, it's ridiculous, without any emotion. Bochhi, GBC, Ave Mujica, any of those series were better executed. 5/10
