So the timeskip was interesting to see, certainly a decent wrap up to the show overall. Just in general ngl this might be one of my least favourite romance animes ever. Genuinely it just never hit, There was only a single character I actually really liked and that was Riku who didn't even appear until s2. Everyone else wasn't bad but I just found fairly boring to watch. The comedy never really hit with me either more so I found it cringe personally.

And I mean the characters are what makes or breaks a show for me and I just couldn't invest myself in any of them other than Riku. She was genuinely a breath of fresh air on this season and for me personally hard carried this season.

What I will say though is I am happy this anime went the full length with them getting together to getting married. Most romance end on a confession.

Just based of this ending Ima go on a whim and assume this season adapted the entire manga so there won't be a season 3, if it did somehow get one I will watch it though.

Overall not a bad anime just unbelievably boring

A timeskip definitely wasn’t on my bingo board, but man, it really drives home the fact that it’s all over. But even a timeskip can't stop the show's biggest villain from making an appearance... PATHOS! This time, though, Raidou's the one saving sensei from the pathos instead of causing them. Well, mostly because Aharen and Raidou just happened to apply to the same school that sensei used to attend, and ofc they do their usual Aharen-Raidou thing right in front of her... triggering her pathos all over again xD

Felt like we should’ve gotten the graduation at the beginning of the episode, not in the middle, especially with the start basically spoiling the whole thing lol. Still, that rooftop moment was really touching. For all the laughs and giggles this show gives, when it wants to be emotional, it really is. And knowing this is the last time we’ll see these characters makes it hit even harder. It was nice to see everyone get their happy endings, not just the main couple, but let’s be real, our main couple got the happiest one of all… they got married <3

P.S. Raidou fucking rocks that mustache in the future. But yeah, was fitting we ended how we started... with the indecipherable Aharen finally opening up to someone... Raidou, that is. Will miss this show dearly, but all things considered, this was a great conclusion.
@IzanaSolos Had to check that 1) The manga was done and 2) that this was within the final chapters, which it is, right down to the penultimate chapter starting with the journal being found by the grandkid (which is a weird thing to note when it could've just been...their kid or even their niece, since she looks a lot like Raido's sister's kid)

I finished the manga just a month ago and was a little worried on how they would be adaptating the ending but that was SOOOO GOOOD. Every choice was well made for the sake of the story that's been told in the anime. Such a beautiful ending for such a beautiful series. i'll miss them all

beautiful ending but I noticed the ring on osshiro finger. Just curious if she ended up with someone we seen or someone we haven't. I would love it she married to the blonde girl(i forgot her name) being how close they got throughout the season.

It's over, I'm so sad T^T.

What neat little show this was, the last few episodes were really sweet and closed it up nicely, but it feels like there could have been more. Since it seems like they've ended the chance of a season 3, I'm hoping for a gap-filling season, like Horimiya Piece. If not, then we can always dream.

NO ITS OVER, GODDAMNIT.

Wasn't expecting such a huge timeskip but it works. I wasn't expecting Raido to have fricking superpowers, but it works. Seeing Futaba in highschool feels so weird. It really does show that it's almost over. I wasn't expecting TWO proposals in an episode but it was so good. Raido proposing was great and FINALLY, Ishikawa and Satou got together,. I was wondering when they were doing to get together. Raido with that mustache goes so hard, he would be an awesome grandpa. Aharen and Raido getting married was destined to happen, I'm really happy that they got married and are happy together. I'll really miss every character in this anime. It was a really fun ride, with all the laughs and really dumb moments sometimes.

I will really miss this show.

@UnlistedHyper I can't be the only one that feels it's weird they're grandparents when them just being parents would suffice. Heck, I think the wedding is the only place we finally see Mr. Aharen proper.

Aw, man. I was not expecting an ending ending. I wanted to see them more, especially my precious, socially anxious gyaru. It was fun while it lasted. I'll be definitely rewatch this series few months later, easily became one of my comfort series.

I totally agree because for me, that proposal had no romantic core. I still don't think he has any romantic feelings for Satou or that he's attracted to her. It came off more like he proposed to his ever present bestie because he couldn't be with the person he really wanted to be with nor could he be free to openly be who he truly is, so he decided to settle. It's sad because I don't think this choice would ultimately lead to happiness for either of them.

I didn't realize on the first watch of season 1, but I believe Ishikawa and Satou were trying to figure out if Raido and Reina were dating from the beginning because Ishikawa was crushing on Raido and Satou knew that from the beginning and was acting as his "wing woman". I'm sure that's why she was never bothered about confessing to him because she always knew he was gay.
@MizutaniShizuku1 At this point, she's become his beard if that's the case, which comes with its own implications and subtext the author might be going for

This was an amazing finale! They wrapped up everything beautifully, even things I didn't expect. And Mizu Asato's humor was in top form with Raido's multitude of different careers and the "I'm not a surveyor, I'm a land inspector" bit. Great ending for a great anime!!

Final episode was all over the place, and although I wish things had been presented in a more linear timeline, it still was a great ending.

A simple show but it was well done. Wish there were more shows like this.

Will miss these characters. When you know the ending is final, and no possibility of another season, it always hits a little harder.

I give 8/10.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

I liked it a lot and this ending always brings me to tears, just like the manga.
But damn, they skipped so much stuff, more than enough for a 3rd season in fact. So I have mixed feelings, and after yesterday news about the new "Kaguya-sama..." anime, I'm feeling that one is getting an even more rushed treatment.
@yetanothergeek Any important development type stuff, or more of the same type of gags that they've had already?

Choosing between a verbatim adaptation but without the ending and between an adaptation that skips a chapter for the sake of the ending, I will of course choose the second and, yes it turned out great, although it's a shame they didn't screen the moment from chapter 165 where their whole life was shown in one shot and yes, in the end Raido should have run for president, after flying into space, seriously a jack of all trades.

Well. I did NOT expect such a finale as this. Sometimes this series was hard for me to watch, always on the border of not SUPER interesting but just enough to keep me in it. This episode, however, NAILED it. The future, the past, the mid past, it presented a very interesting picture in a unique way and tied it all together perfectly into a super cute and sweet end with a great epilogue. I am quite impressed. One of the better endings I've seen in anime. I even teared up a bit at Aharen's feelings of inadequacy.

Maybe the only small quibble I have is the lack of development in the side characters. Good to see the other two get married, but they barely showed us any of their interactions in that way, so it didn't hit as hard as it could have. I also wanted to see the older Tamanaha and see what she made of herself :/

While I'm still not a fan of flash-forwards and time skips and they crammed a huge amount of content into one episode, I think it basically worked. I was tearing up the whole episode.

I haven't read the manga, but I doubt they could've covered everything without another season or two.

It's a 9 from me.

(Does BiliBili have something against kisses? Their lips didn't even touch! I wouldn't say it detracted from the show though.)

A weird end.. Extra score because it got proper ending, really rare to see anime with proper ending nowadays.

Aharen and Raido are already grandparents but they don't look that old. Where's their kid? Why only show the grandson?

Pretty rushed ending with time jumping here and there.

Overall just okay. Repeating same jokes is okay but need more variety so it doesn't become boring.

Property inspector is just a movie lol. You can see the black bar and poster behind Aharen. Now he's a novelist on the moon, who knows how many jobs he also did before this lol.

Hey that's Aoi Yuuki voicing Aharen and Raido's granddaughter! And speaking of her, was it necessary to make her their granddaughter? Wouldn't it work just as well with her being their daughter?

Oh wow Ishikawa and Sato ended up together despite everything. That was the biggest twist of the show haha. Good for them!

Seeing a grown up Futaba and Akkun taking the place of Aharen and Raido was great. Poor sensei though xD.

I'm going to miss my best girl Tamanaha, she always made me crack up every time she was on screen. Such an adorable and pure gyaru... hearing Nao Touyama voicing her was so great <3.

Man, I'm conflicted. I definitely liked the ending and I think it works, but as a whole, I feel like we could have had more. Like, the transition to their second year was great, it was like an extension of the first one plus Tamanaha and I loved it. But I didn't expect the show to enter their third year so soon, we had only three episodes for a new teacher, some stuff from Oshiro, the cultural festival, the usual funny moments and only one episode for the finale, the finale of the whole series even. Just with the ending alone, I wanted to see future Tamanaha, I wanted to see something of Aharen and Raido's siblings... I wanted more build up. Come on, make it a shorter season if you want, but don't cram everything left into a few episodes.

Either way, it was a great show from start to finish. I laughed and enjoyed it a lot and now that we've reached the end, I'm going to miss it.

this has to be the most underrated show this season

ishikawa finally proposed to sato is one of the most unexpected moments in this anime, and I'm glad that it happened

honestly, I enjoyed the 2nd season more than the 1st since the main couple are dating, and less annoying characters appear

I rate this show 9.5/10 ⭐

Was an interesting episode. However it feels rushed. And it looks like theres a lot of people saying that most of the content is skipped.

Still a mystery on who Ishikawa liked as it was still not made clear. However still happy that the ship sailed with Satou.

Not really a fan of Slice of life shows but this one was not bad. A solid 7/10 for me

I really enjoyed this last episode. It strengthens the ending for this couple and also appreciate the comedic element till the end. The Pathos Liquid joke is just ever lasting in their lives at this point and they don't know just how much they affect the senseis. This ending suits the story we were given and I really enjoyed this anime. I don't know if the manga explores their relationship as adults more but this feels like a good closure. We don't know details about their family, but we know the shared diary is a staple in their communication.

Man did I not enjoy this ending, why the hell do we go from an episode about a school festival to them straight up graduating. There was no set up for this and most of it just came out of nowhere, really feels like this show could have used another season before ending it! Also Ishikawa marrying Hanako feels so lame, they basically established he was gay, and didn't have feels for her, to him just turning around and being like: ''well since you still kinda like me, and we both haven't really looked for love else where let's get married.'' Like wut there's no way that's a healthy way to step into a relationship. Also the jumping around through time, throughout the episode felt really weird and there was basically no absurd or surreal comedy in this ep, which was this series strongest point. So yeah bummer it had to end like this, I did enjoy every other episode this season tho. And as last but not least Tamanaha has really proven herself to be best girl, may you always have good friends at your side Riku!

@Darkllyd The president was a joke if anything, but the scenes from their lives on one page, it's true, it also shows their daughter, her wedding, the birth of their granddaughter, how Raido spent time with them and how happy they were, to me great scenes, but for some reason did not get into the adaptation.

What an amazing second season, This episode was so wholesome, seeing Aharen as a grandma and Raido as a Grandpa was cute to see, how they worked through their differences etc. It was all so incredibly wholesome to watch, I don't know now I want to binge watch a ton of romance anime because this season got me back into romance anime, romance anime is awesome man! I love this series, maybe its because I'm becoming more open to IRL romance now and am actually interested in that sort of thing now but wow this series was awesome and made me giggle and kick my legs like a teenage girl with her first boyfriend :sob:

I liked the first season more in terms of funny moments and gags but this second season was still very good anyway.
Raido will become an eclectic factotum and Reina an artist and art teacher and they will become old together.
