Danjo no Yuujou wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) Episode 1 Discussion

"I'm just not fond of pretty girls"... I think there's a certain sexuality that describes what you are perfectly man. Truth be told though, this whole premise of "Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up" really makes no sense because simple answer, uh, it can lol. After a while of spending time with a girl like this, especially for someone like our MC that "isn't fond of pretty girls", you just start to see them as another one of the homies like lol.

But trouble does arise when you have a Boy-Girl Friendship, things like people thinking you two are dating just because of how close the two of you are, or when one, or both, get their own respective partners, it wouldn't be wrong for their partners to think something fishy is happening with how close they are, and them being in a relationship. Clearly that's what's happening with our main heroine and her relationships.

But back to the main premise at hand, and you know, the title of the show, eleven minutes in... and would you know it, we not only get a namedrop... BUT WE ALSO ANSWER THE QUESTION BEING ASKED IN SAID TITLE... "Yes it can".... OK! But I guess in order for the plot to happen, this just does NOT apply for our main "couple" here because as she said just seconds later, "I want to kiss and have sex with him"... LIKE WHAT. Sorry, but yeah, shit's not happening, with the mix of him not liking pretty girls, and him legit seeing you as a fellow homie by now, sorry Himari, just call it quits lol.

I might have complained about how kinda stupid the main premise is, but you know, something about wanting to see how exactly this boy and girl friendship will hold up kind of intrigues me. And something about this is just screaming Twitter or just people in general complaining about how annoying Himari is, and to that I say, you clearly aren't who this show is appealing to... because you clearly haven't been in a said Boy-Girl Friendship, because yeah, the girl in the friendship is always annoying lol. It's part of what makes it a friendship and not a relationship... I would hope for this "couple", at least lol.

Other than this being pretty accurate, the second surprise to me is looking at the credits and expecting like 50+ 2nd KAs considering this is a J.C. Staff production, to be met with... only two 2nd KAs? I'm sorry, WHAT? A HEALTHY J.C. STAFF PRODUCTION!??! Can't be. Especially considering that, if you didn't know already, the same team working on this is also the same team working on OPM S3... so uh, yeah, just because of that, I'M IN LMAOO.

Not bad, but not anything crazy yet, I guess.
