Crimson didn't account for how deep Ragna's desire for vengeance is, and it sure cost them! A lot of cool developments this episode like Nebulim tapping into his potential and meeting the silverware princess. Her being a psychic that can tell when she's being lied to is a great foil to Crimson.

Ragna did mention that Crimson's powers are sealed, but I thought it was only when he was posing as a maid. I was waiting to see Crimson fight to see how strong he is, but I guess his powers are still sealed?

Wow, Ranga's rage kinda put them in a tougher spot lol. Too bad the fight didn't continue xd.

Interesting that Ragna was tested for dragon blood, coz like he had some in his future life which let him move when time is stopped. Maybe the ability from the blood is retained but not the blood itself.

Never ending plan to watch list...

I no longer like Crimson. They're not just a dickhead, they're the Machiavellian "the end justifies the means" type. Whatever means (incl. killing tens of thousand humans) for a singular end, i.e. killing all dragons.

They couldn't know if Ultimatia would reverse time to save those human baits, but they didn't even care. And it wasn't a "Let's (potentially) kill tens of thousands to save millions" thing. Her sole goal was killing Ultimatia.

The most satisfying part of the episode was seeing Ultimatia crap herself from fear. As for that princess she looks quite cocky. If only she knew her father has been turned into King Theoden while controlled by Saruman.. And that her kingdom might soon be erased from the map.

One final comment about the urban elements of this urban fantasy(?) tale. I don't think they're used well or organically. Urban fantasy requires a seamless blending of the fantasy elements with the modern ones.

What we have here is an arbitrary sprinkling of a few modern firearms here and there, a single modern military vehicle in the wilderness but not one vehicle -military or civilian- in the entire capital, and even a freaking... ICBM(?!) conjured out of nowhere.

The very sparse urban/modern elements serve no purpose in the story, and appear to have been added at random. And the world, despite having those modern elements, looks like it's set in the late 18th - early 19th century (but with a royal/fantasy spin), i.e. at the start of the industrial revolution.

In short the unnecessary urban elements of this story make no sense; they completely contradict the rest of the world, sticking out like sore thumbs.

That's because the anime forgot to add a very important piece of information in Crimson's flashback:

America is gone because of a war; those modern weapons and vehicles that exist in Ragna Crimson aren't random, they exist because they are living in the 21st century, and Crimson stores those weapons and vehicles in another dimension. When the dragons appeared, things changed, and some parts of the world are more advanced than others.

I recommend that you stop the anime and read the manga from the beginning; the anime removed stuff. I'm a Ragna Crimson fan, and I believe the anime did a pretty bad job in the adaptation. And most of the Ragna Crimson fans on Reddit are also disappointed in the anime.
