| I was told Protestantism's key defining quality for England was divorce. I find this an interesting point because American Protestantism is very traditionalist and does not encourage divorce, though it happens a lot anyways. Catholicism isn't much of a thing here, so the old Protestant/Catholic conflict only makes sense in the place it originated.
