Here by hardcore fan, I mean:
Mainly, something which you hold very dear to you, or feel it as more that just a commonplace favourite. Some of you may not have it I guess, but for those who actually do... Ohh, and even if you're not liking the series' current development, but if you ever liked it at some point like a die-hard fan... For me, its Overlord. :) Edit: I saw a few getting confused by 'Hardcore' (mostly becz I couldn't find the right words, sry). By my definition apparently, a hardcore fan can have, but is not limited to, having merch for it or is vastly knowledgeable abt it. I simply mean liking it dearly to the point of not wanting to hear criticisms about it. (MAYBE even if its a relevant comment made, depends on person-to-person imo). So i think the word should have been 'dedicated'. You can correct me if I'm wrong. |

 I'd say for me the series I'm most hardcore for is the Nasuverse - this doesn't mean I won't criticize it - but generally I am mostly keeping up to day with the shows, series, games and so on. I also would say Fallout, Halo and Star Wars were once pretty high up the list but as more and more releases have moved away with what I liked about those series I mostly go back to what I liked and stopped keeping up with new releases to avoid being disappointed over and over again. |

| Jojo is probably the series I am the biggest fan of and have actively looked for more content of outside of that officially available in my country. I read the Part 5 and 6 manga via fan translated scans before the anime adaptations came out, I have a few Japanese tankobon volumes of Part 6 that I got before the English hardcovers got announced, I am close to caught up on the current part (Part 9) and read Steel Ball Run and Jojolion already even though an official translation doesn't exist. I've seen the Rohan OVAs and am planning on getting the Rohan hardcovers. I even plan on buying Araki's book on writing titled Manga in Theory and Practice because I love his work that much on a fundamental level that I want to actively learn how he does it. While I may own more Dragon Ball merch, Jojo is my all time favorite and inspires me on a deep level and actively seek out new content and information from the series and want to share it with more people |

| My main interest is around Higurashi/Umineko, not necessarily their anime adaptations though (especially not Umineko, obviously). I might even consider it an autistic interest. Hunter x Hunter I'm a bit of a fan of too. I'm surprised that it's actually gotten better past where the 2011 anime left off, at least in my opinion. Never finished the 1999 adaptation though. I'm fine if people don't like what I like though. I'm not gonna go white knighting for them. If people think my favorite animes are garbage then they're allowed to think that as am I allowed to pay them no mind and move on with my day. |

It's not even 10 on my list, but Dear God, I'm in the state where I already remembered every word of the character in every episode, especially TSIHM. | Inuyasha and Koi Kaze, really. They don't really have a parallel or equal in that regard, even with my other 10/10 ones or even the few others I deem both 10s and S-tier status. I consider them in actuality jointly my co-equal #1. No other anime comes close (my handful of other 10/10s obviously come closest). No other media, in fact, comes close. The ideas contained within both and ideas and feelings within me which they gave rise to, the level and depth of emotional investment, and the ethereal scores of Kaoru Wada and Masanori Takumi really altered the entire way I related to art and entertainment media after that, and shifted my view on how good something could be. Doubt I'll ever find their equal in anime again, and maybe not in anything else either. Sadly. |

| By hardcore fan, I kinda take that to mean that you remember all the details of the anime, long after you've finished watching it. I'm talking characters, locations, songs from the OST, all that stuff. That's very different from simply what anime you like the best, so if I think about it that way...something like Cowboy Bebop might be the one I'm most hardcore about. |

I mean as long as they aren't being personal about it. Outside of my 10s, I guess I am getting to be a "hardcore Gundam fan" (maybe mecha fan in general though I got a ways to go)? I intend to watch almost every major series, there are one or two like AGE I am not going to bother with. Just got After War and Turn A left and I am done the pre digital age. |
