| OP, ED no, but background yes. It depends on quality. Some anime i can't imagine without background like "madoka", "shiki", "mushishi" Have few soundtracks on my phone. |
| It is of no importance to me. I have never rated an anime higher or lower based on the soundtrack. But I suppose it is always possible, if the music is absolutely atrocious, or good enough for me to actually pay attention to it. |

| Usually a great anime is followed by great music. Still I'm not too judging if music isn't a top-notch but all the rest is great. |
| I think music is very powerful tool than can bring a 7 to a 10. SAO and .hack sign are big examples of how good music can enhance series. Even bleach has some amazing music that resonates very well to make some masterful scenes. In terms of videogames I can not imagine Sonic or Kirby doing so well without its amazing music direction. |

| I think it can ad or subtract a point unconsciously. I almost was going to make a thread on this thing I noticed. You know in a lot of shows they play same music over and over and over? Often a short loop of a few seconds. I hate that alot. It has a tendency to make scenes meant to be fun and playful feel painfully dragged out and a little annoying just because you hear the same music on almost every episode so it gets annoying. I would prefer silence over that. On other hand some stuff with very cinematic or very cool music can just feel a lot more lively. |
