So, if you've watched the 3 minute sneak peek on YouTube i would like to hear your opinion. In my opinion the movements looks very cgi and some scenes were like copy paste panels that fits for the manga but it looks very weird in anime like some freeze photo frame  |
| It's just rotoscopic animation mixed with monochromatic, greyscale palette, and an art style meant to look as close to the manga as it is possible, without turning the whole show into a motion comic. It looks very good, in my opinion. Judging from that official short preview, that is. As long as you are not a complete 2D purist, you should get used to this animation technique, as well as the art style itself, while watching the show after it's released. |

The only time I like rotoscoped was the chika dance. The flowers of evil was a complete failure which i haven't watched yet. Which is a shame bc the manga was so good and the show picked the PERFECT artstyle for it... people were just put off by it being something different from normal. Doesn't mean rotoscoping is bad, I'd imagine it fits pretty well for Ito. |

| People gotta realize maybe rotoscoping and cgi isn’t the devil. I think it depicts the manga panels perfectly in my opinion, so I’m fine with it. |

| It was a correct decision to animate it like this. Most horror manga lose the horror aspect when they get the anime adaptation. This one however felt uneasy when watching it. Anime Noir style should get explored more, especially for the darker mangas. |
