I'll go against the grain here and tell you to watch the Bluray version since I believe it to be the best experience. The director's cut version makes many scenes less impacful due to cuts in segments with the ending songs and the Bluray version already fixes the animation errors. Also, the added scene at the end of the season is literally the 1st scene in S2 so it makes 0 difference if u watch the director's cut.

Do not watch directors cut, as the person here said, the original episodes were perfectly directed for their runtime with the insert songs and unique endings, episode title cards, which bring massive emotional impact to the episodes, this is often lost in the directors cut version where the episodes are double length. |

Do the Director's Cut. Animation/Artwork has been tweaked. Plus hour long episodes will make it a unique viewing experience.

| The Director's Cut tweaks are extremely minor. The Director's Cut ending is including in the first episode of the second season. Prioritize the better experience from the original series, or the blu-ray if you have access to it. |
