Aww, Marlene cares about the people now. I wonder how things'll go now that she's considered unfit for combat? She can't leave the army, can she?
And did they expect Yuji to not be tested on or something? They were even calling him a sample, sure. Hah, I'm stoked to see what happens from here.

I hate the high handed council members. Yuji and Marlene should have done what Dice did and left.

The council are assholes. They need to go down to Earth so they can experience it themselves before they make judgement.

So when a soldier shows compassion, that's a demerit in their system. And those council members are assholes. Dice was right all of that behind.

No wonder Marlene was the way she was. What a regime. You would have thought that with a limited population, human life would be more precious to them.

Having said that, I think her character development went too fast the past couple of episodes.

I wonder how Yuuji is doing and where he is?

Well i guess this explains a lot about her ways at the start. But they really are in a mess now. I mean if she goes and gets Yuji out of their hands then they will have to escape from space.
So they must go down to earth again and find a way to live while running away from big alien bugs.

The Council of Five gives off that NGE vibe.

*eyeroll* Another sci-fi series depicting the military as a cartoonishly evil organization. I was hoping for a more nuanced story. My mistake, heh.

I have even more respect for Dice for leaving. The people of Second Earth are fucked up.

Yuji, bro, you should have stayed on Earth with Elena lol

Way too many flashbacks this episode.

Marlene should've just acted the way the training instructor wanted, it's just a freaking virtual simulation. Just pretend you don't give a damn about the civilians or injured teammates, it's not that hard. Now they're probably thinking she's useless and will try to dispose of her.

Also, what happened to the other sleeper? She didn't appear to be harmed, unless the way she was taken out of her pod ended up killing her.

Of course Second Earth is full of evil a-holes. No wonder the soldiers are the way they are. And five bucks says they have something to do with the creation of the Blue....hell I bet they created the sleeper program in the first place.

The first time I saw the spaceship seat that saves so much space, I noticed how Marlene and Yuji work together in a way that only makes sense if they're the main characters, not soldiers in an army.

But now, Marlene can express more emotion, which is a big boost in her character development.

These military higher ups must have abandoned their humanity, because they're completely cruel! No wonder things are so bleak for the humans abandoned on earth.

I don't have high hopes for their future plans centered around Yuji. But when they prefer to call him a specimen rather than use his name, I should have known.
