| The moment any female character than got into Kiritos harem showed up, the series went downhill for me. Reason why I liked the beginning but as soon as a chick showed up... I would not want to watch a gender bended version, sound horrifying in another way. |

| It would just change into Reverse Harem/Otome type of anime, majority of stuff maybe could work, but I think sao would be worse and S1 wouldn't be such big and I guess only the first arcs of Alicization would been considered "peak" cause of Yuri shipping of Gender swaped Kirito and Gender swaped Eugeo. |

| No. The whether the character is a male, female or a toaster, that alone won't make the writing better or worse. Though just like the One Piece version of this, I would be on board with it being an all female cast. |
i'm just going to say this cause this exact question keeps popping up If there is any story that I am interested it, In 99% of the cases I would be just as, if not even more interested in the gender bend version. |

| The writing is fine as is either way gender wise. Most shoujo anime tend to have a pseuedoharem with a main couple. Genderswapping makes true harems way more interesting like mushoku since the guys are now the cucks instead of the girls sharing 1 man. |
