who here has a small form factor pc?

we like low powered and small pc so we made one

our specs are
ryzen 4350g apu
asus a320mk mobo
32gb ddr4 3200mhz memory
1tb nvme ssd gen3
rtx 3050 6gb gpu (70 watts max only)

hopefully this will last for at least 10 years for us like our old pc

It doesn't matter what kind of PC you use if you have Windows on it...Windows is a bad OS. Much worse than Linux...or even Mac OS.

@DesuMaiden we are using windows 10 iot ltsc so it has low to zero telemetry

besides we need windows for photoshop and games that my brother plays

I was never a fan of those Mini-PCs since they are less resistant against heating compared to even plain normal notebooks

If I want notebook level of hardware, I'll get a notebook

Given the lower quality of building parts, I doubt it will last more than 5 years without changing anything

@Noboru our old pc is sff too and it lasted 10 years even in a hot climate like here in the philippines

you might just about get away with it. i5 4th gen / GTX 750 Ti rigs are a decade old now and are still pretty usable.

These days there is a lot of SBCs some are x86 and 64 bit so they can run a normal operating system. Because they often don't come in a case it allows you to just use whatever you want as long as the thermal properties are good so it doesn't overheat. I dont have personal experience with them though.
