| Tisse even agrees that this guy Van is seriously messed up. Tisse, who accompanied Van on the expedition to defeat the Hill Giant, is shocked by his twisted sense of justice regarding the conversion of heretics, which he considers one of his important goals, despite being a former monk who didn't believe in Lord Demis. This warped sense of justice also extends to the people of Zoltan, who welcome heroes, causing widespread unrest. Upon hearing about the disturbance, Yarandrala and Danan arrive to confront Van. After some fighting, the two find themselves in a bit of a pickle, but just in the nick of time, Red arrives and returns the shield that Van stole from the dragons. Shortly after, Van and Red begin to fight. Esta getting flustered over Albert wanting to see her? She's so adorable. I really think she should leave Van and go back to Zoltan. And Tisse questioning if she's a maiden? Lmao. It was nice to see Mogrim and Godwin again, but Van... ugh, he's so irritating. He's such an arrogant jerk. And his fairy? So annoying. That kick Danan landed on Van felt amazing, I've been waiting for someone to knock some sense into him. Van just keeps dodging punches and reversing them like a coward. Thank goodness for Red showing him how weak he really is. But Ruti? That punch she delivered to Van was the most satisfying moment I've ever seen in anime. Now Van's dead set on getting revenge on Ruti for what she did to him, but it's not going to be as easy as he thinks. |

| Monsters refusing to kill people and instead live their lives in peace defies god's teachings. More like Van just likes to kill. And his rebuttal of the townspeople hardly made sense either. Van's speech really showed just how arrogant her become. Danan sure made a timely entry to save Drala. But Van's attitude right now really is disturbing. Ruti coming in to beat Van and her line there really was perfect. I fear though that this defeat only serevd to make him even more unhinged. |

| Anime is at vol 8 and this Van arc concludes in vol 10 of the light novel. With just 4 episodes left, this is gonna be one heck of a rushed adaptation. 2 eps per volume lol. |

| Shit really hit the fan in this one, I thought things might get bad before they got good again but thankfully this dastardly plot to control the people of Zoltan was stopped by Yarandrala and Danan, I’m sure the others would have helped too but that damn fairy thinks everything this Van bastard does is right and kept them at bay, I really am wondering what she’s about and why she’s so devoted to Van, hopefully we’ll find out before the season ends. And although the fight didn’t have greatest art and animation I was glad to finally see Van get an ass whooping, he has an interesting power too where he’s able to transfer damage he’s taken to someone else, yeah that’s definitely more a demon lord power than a hero lol. And it seemed like things might get bad when those dragons showed up but thankfully Red arrived to not only deal with that issue, but also the hero, and I liked how he was able to flex his learned skills over the hero’s blessings, beautiful irony for Van. And just when you thought the fight wasn’t over yet, then came Ruti to deal the most satisfying of punches to Van, that was very well done, I’m glad they saved some budget for that part, and Ruti saying she’s no one important afterward was a funny callback lol. And man, if only that was the end of Van, but nah they went healed him and now he wants to kill Ruti, yeah I never expected the fucko to learn anything lol. And lastly I did really like that scene at the beginning between Theodora and Tisse, a nice calm before the storm, and Theodora was cute with how she got flustered there. |

| Whoever wrote Van character is so dumb. This is so upsetting and it totally ruined the second season. Yeah the mc was trying to teach Van a lesson, of course he going more twisted way after he got beaten by Ruri. Nothing he is doing is what a hero is doing. |

| It's from the beginning of this 2nd season that I was waiting for Ruti to punch the crap out of that idiot fanatic shota hero, it was the most satisfying scene of the entire series... XD I always adored Ruti. Unfortunately it seems that the NDE has taught him nothing, if possible he's even worse than before so it's necessary that Ruti beats the crap out of him again. |

Ruti did a factory reset on him. He might have the blessing of the hero but she just slapped that out of him.
| @InceptAiden If anything, his "revelation" at the end proves the opposite. Rather than losing his arrogance and intolerance, he's even worse now. He's a classic true believer/religious nut who, when proven wrong, just uses that as more evidence that he's right and everyone else is evil/against him. That said, Van doesn't have a chance against Ruti. The former hero's party just showed the difference between a hero with training and a hero without. Van could barely even stand up to Ruti's companions. When the two heroes fight, the one without any training (Van) is going to get bitchslapped (again) by Ruti, who has years of experience not only fighting but being trained by Red. |

| Van is disrupting the harmony the city of Zoltan worked hard to achieve. That place is such a peaceful and harmonious place that dragons and giants kept a respectful distance from it. The current hero is so enamored in fighting evil that he's so blind to see that everything he's done was truly evil. |

| Oh welp, Tisse has realized how screwed up Van is... As both Van and Lavender are out on their "heroic" attempts, Tisse and Esta takes a break, and the attempt to reel Esta in her missing for Albert, she's clearly flustered. With the Fairy Shield, they head to the airship's location, though the party itself is pretty much unneeded. And with an inappropriate mark of labeling everyone as heretics, lands everyone in alert and disgust. Clearly, Van has no need for pleasantries, and with Lavender, attempts to brainwash Zoltan into his bidding. Thankfully, there is Yarandrala, who she is also no match for, with Danan saving her in the nick of time. No thanks to the salt dragons coming back for the shield, this has created a complex situation, with Red finally being able to face Van thanks to Crawly Wawly's help and give the shield back to them. This is a temporary measure, because Red and Ruti are still in the necessity to hide away from them. Still, Van has marked Ruti for his entire's will: the two heroes who do not get along together. |
