This time, the win is for hattori since Kudo was blinded as a Ray's "daifan".

I think it's the first time Kudo show us a weak point (other than Ran).

Kudo : 6 - Hattori : 5

Wow it was really sad watching this, Shinichi was really upset by the outcome but he made the right choice and stuck with his morals. I thought he was going to let him go for a moment, but I like how he dealt with that situation.

They really overdid themselves when they added that OST that was also used in movie 4 when the bombs exploded and the lights went out for the deduction part, it's great...

A nice case though I believe Conan has already turned in another soccer player for his favorite Japanese team. I guess this one was special. There was a lot of emotion which was good, but the stereotypes in this case. Clear English VAs though which was nice compared to all the other "English speakers" they've had.

I wish they would use English VA's more often in anime, that just completely made both episodes for me. Conan took this one head on even though he was blinded at first by his admiration for Ray, being a fan will do that to you. This is now one of my personal favorite episodes.

Emotional episode. Rumors leading to self-fulfilling prophecies was also interesting. I agree the English VAs were amazing. Conan's English made me cringe though.

Yeah, Conan's English wasn't the best, but it was still really emotional. Also, it was stated that Ray failed to block "a high schooler's kick". What was going on there? Was Conan so upset that he started to slip?

Conan's English probably gave me cancer.
I don't get why they don't just hire someone to do the English lines.

Damn, of course they had to add fucking engrish at the end. And here I was thinking we had evaded the bullet for once...

Also that thing with the sushi to deduce the number 8 was retarded. Nobody would think of that, ever.

Even aside from "a high schooler's kick", he really is starting to be more and more obvious again...

There have been some implausible cases before, but this was easily the worst one. With all the things Ray had to do in such a short time as well as the dying message.

Conan's English was so bad.

What an episode that was, pretty emotional. So glad that I watched it. 10/10 but Conan’s English was just... oh no

They didn't show if Ran was able to give Shinichi the tshirt that Ray signed or not! But seeing as Ray was convicted of murder, maybe not.

I cringed at Conan's English pronunciation!🤣

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

shinichi's weak spot done well, great dedication as always, though proof could be washed away easily...

conan shows too much of shinichi, i'm surprised ran doesn't know the truth yet.

I watched the episode dubbed in spanish (my native language) and the final conversation was in spanish so I seemed to evade the bullet everyone here was shot with. But even then, I have to say Conan would obviously talk english really bad because he's a native japanese, and the fact he tries to speak it in his idol's language would make it more meaningful and emotional.

Great episode, one of my favourites so far

It was Ray. Very sad for Kudo. The one he loved, shattered in front of him

ok kind of a cliche lol but I liked that it held an emotional side 'cause we almost never see Conan act like this. I was honestly thinking it wouldn't turn out like such a predictable trope but I guess this is an old episode so I was having a bit of a high standard
