| Oriana Kingdom arc will be adapted this season (based of the main PV). both arcs of volume 3 are pretty short compared to the previous volumes. The Red moon arc will probably be over by episode 4, the John Smith arc by episode 7 or 8. That leaves 4 episodes for Oriana kingdom arc, which should be sufficient enough to adapt in my opinion and leave us all with an amazing cliff hanger at the end of this season. What I'm gonna talk about next are purely my speculations. By the looks of it, the production is continuous compared to many other popular shows out there where the staff works on one season and leave the production team after that. We even have rumors that season 2 production is already completed, which could mean it was in production even before season 1 ended. So, I'm assuming season 3 is in production right now. Only disappointing thing is, a possible season 4 might take longer to come out after a possible season 3, since the anime is slowly catching up to the LN. But since the anime is using a lot of reference from the WN (episode 1 was acrually adapted from the WN since volume 4 was not out at the time of drafting the series composition) , I'm guessing they might even shift the source to the WN at that point just to keep the production ongoing. |

The only issue is that anime is catching up with the LN. The author is considered one of the slower authors, he publishes a volume once every 10-12 months while most authors publishes a volume every 4-8 months on average, usually depending on whether the author writes for fun or as a career. EDIT: if anyone is wondering why the author writes slowly, it is due to spending time interacting with his fans/readers for ideas to write. This is according to Volume 4 Afterword. |

| I imagine that season 2 will end after the Lawless city and Yukime arcs, so probably season 3 will be oriana and return to earth |

| Since season 2 is going to do all of vol 3 and the oriana arc. They've been done with s2 production for a while now, vol 5 came out last year in 2022, so they had time for pre-production on rest of 4 and all of 5 since july 2022, if they were to pace it the same as s2. Definitely possible they are doing s3 right now to air next year, especially with the directors comments about keeping the staff from s1->s2, they definitely had the correct timing to do that with s2->s3, but regarding a s4, I think they'll stop there for now. Following the pacing, one volume won't be enough for 12 episodes and it still hasn't even released yet, so they can't even plan it out as of now. |

| by the time Season 3 appears I would assume the next volume of the LN will be out so there should be enough for a season 4. I think a Season 3 is nailed on, Emminance In Shadow seems to be really popular and the mobile game is doing well |
