| The official website of the television anime adapting Keiso's Ishura light novel announced two supporting cast members on Sunday. The anime is set to air in January 2024 and will exclusively stream worldwide on Disney+. Higuare Umitaru: Tomokazu Sugita (Shuumatsu no Walküre II)  Tsukiarashi no Lana: Yumiri Hanamori (Jigokuraku)  Yuuki Ogawa (Ishuzoku Reviewers) is directing the television anime at Passione. Kenta Ihara (Tomodachi Game) is handling the series composition and script. Youko Kikuchi (Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu: Die Neue These) and Yuka Takashina (Plunderer) are designing the characters. Masahiro Tokuda (Platinum End) is composing the music. Keiso originally began penning the action fantasy light novel on the Kakuyomu website in June 2017, followed by Shousetsuka ni Narou the following month. Kadokawa began publishing the series with illustrations by Kureta under its Dengeki no Shin Bungei label in September 2019. The seventh volume shipped on February 17, and the eighth volume is scheduled to be released on October 17. Meguri began drawing a manga adaptation in Monthly Shounen Magazine in March 2021. Kodansha published the second volume in December 2021. Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in September 2021 and shipped the fourth volume on July 18.
