| So I have a few questions. HOW do you get cornered in a phone booth??? Like if you’re being chased by dudes with knives, the phone booth is the smallest, narrowest place in a wide open area. So you’d have to aim for it deliberately. Why would you run into the phone booth? I mean unless it’s a Tardis… (which it wasn’t) So this anime is: the School Edgelord somehow meets this demonic chick with skulls for eyes. Siiiiiiigh… okay so I get that having crazy pupils is now the trend in anime designs. They’ve been doing girls with stars for pupils, so now we have this tiny girl with cute little skulls for pupils. Oh how cute, isn’t she cute? That’s about all she is. Another thing this anime has is PETALS. Cherry Blossom petals- EVERYWHERE. It was annoying as fuck. The glowing petals causes HiDive’s player to freeze, grrrr HiDive fix yer broken site please. I don't mind when symbolism is used, but I do mind when they hit me over the head with it constantly. What this anime also has: tropes. The Super Smart Girl with tragic past who talks in Monotone Trope. The helpless whining guy who is scared of everything while the girls aren’t Trope. The MC is Only One At School with Supernatural Powers Trope The Cherry Blossoms Glow At Night Trope Even Truck-kun made an appearance! And this isn’t even an isekai. Every line the girl speaks is in monotone, which got annoying very fast; and every line spoken by Keitaro is either him yelling, whining, or worrying about something- which was even worse. It says this is supposed to run 25 episodes. How could anyone get 25 episodes out of this crap? |
| wont lie i got caught off guard a few times it sure has it's creepy vibe on top of mixing a more cute joking tone things can go from 0-100 real quick Eiko was the biggest shock She seems to be a maybe yabi meanwhile Yayoi is the biggest something ant right with that child Keitaro being a haunted place freak is a good setup for him i'm in while the art style reminds me of a 2010 anime this could be good |

| omg it was sooo good, it gave me a 2010 feeling, which made me feel nostalgic. The history is super interesting, I'm hoping so much for the development. I really did miss horror animes like that, and I think it has a big potencial to be scary and gory, just like old animes like Another or Shiki. |

Keitarou might also take some time to get use to tbh. Eiko might be the most normal character out of this main cast. Even though the anime had supernatural and horror elements, it has light comedy too. On the more serious side, it was tough to see storytelling narrative from Yayoi's perspective. To be honest, with how the episode ended, I'm not sure if Eiko is really that normal... Maybe she is the less weird, but still... |

| I really liked this premiere! I was afraid I wouldn't find a single show I really look forward to this season, but gladly, this one was really exciting! The characters have a lot of potential and I love how they mixed the genres of comedic horror and more serious horror. I can't say much about how scary it is, since I haven't watched any other horror anime (a few scary ones though, like Summertime Render, Made in Abyss and Shadows House), but it feels just right for me. |

| So OLM was the studio that animated Summertime Render last year and that was also 2 cour and it was great. I'm hoping this anime lives up to that one and so far I enjoyed the first episode as it was interesting with it having supernatural elements mixed in with a bit of humor. While Yahoi and Keitaro can see spirits I wonder about Eiko, maybe she will have some unique ability but for now she apparently observed that Keitaro may be enjoying his fear more than he's letting on. I'm looking forward to how this series plays out and I'm enjoying the somewhat spooky atmosphere. |

| i was a bit iffy at the beginning of this episode but holy cow this ended up blowing me away! been looking for something spooky that also isn't boring -- this show checks both boxes. i'm pretty creeped out by yayoi, but i also love her design. there's also some kind of wholesomeness in her just wanting to find her mom |

| Mmm, Mieruko-chan is more interesting in its approach but this could be entertaining. I really find the idea of Yayoi'eyes pretty childish but Eiko looks quite deranged in her own way so I'm interested to see where it goes. |

| We all know that horror and anime will never match properly but this episode made me see hope and potential for that it could be done in the future. I watched this at midnight, it made me feel cold air for a second. But just a split second tho maybe having more seriousness and a proper "horror" anime could be done. Besides how could we possibly feel scared if there is a cute loli |

| The tone and pacing were odd. Some things could have been delivered better, but I like the premise. I keep thinking of Toilet-bound Hanako-kun. |
| Thought it was gonna be Slice of Life with ghosts but I'm loving the darker tone it has. The sound design is also very unnerving, consider me hooked. |
