| 22 minutes of just action, that was awesome. An upgrade of the B2 and with optical camo, what a dangerous but incredible thing. Suzuka doing a L'oreal ad. Episode 2, and already making a passenger jet crash in on the table. |

| I know the CGI is a still a controversial choice, but try and animate this the traditional way. You'd have to spend so much more. That said, I'm already seeing improvements over the previous season. If you can accept the style change, I think this might be an enjoyable season if they keep up this crazy pace. I'd still love to see a regular GITS one day though. I recently rewatched the first movie's 4K restoration thing and it's still so, so good. | And here we have the first sign of Purin being a post human. I have to admit that the plane scene was pretty tense. It's getting more and more interesting. Now the NSA wants to cover up whatever secret Kukushkin holds? I bet it's an ugly truth about the sustainable war. Or at least I hope so. But man, John Smith really is one ruthless bastard. Reminds me of Kuze, but I doubt that Smith's motivations are as complex. I open for surprises though. |
| Don't really get all the infighting with Agent Smith, they seemed more like reluctant allies in the previous season. And the aesthetics were straight out of a game. |

| Excellent episode. Was really impressed by the fight with the post human. Really cool choreography while fighting wearing high heels. All the bullet dodging and parkour was great. And her hijacking the passenger jet was nuts. |
| One of the best action set-pieces I've seen in a long time, live-action or animated. Fantastic. I always subconsciously wondered about a traffic action scene, and the new GITS pulled it off better than I've ever seen--besides The Villainess from Korea (live action). If the rest of the series is bunk--not thinking it will be--this action arc will have made this series entirely worth it. The animation is hilarious and the humor really comes through. The creators have a sardonic side which I really enjoy. So few anime is made for adults anymore, just horny kids. It's so great to be talking about government espionage again. Flipping awesome time watching this. |
| Damn that was an intense episode. Also I guess this confirms Purin being a Post Human since she was battling with Suzuka through their mind only. |

| The fight between Major and the post human, damn. I rewatched that like 4 times. The choreography was beautiful. Also props to the pink haired chick for stopping the plane from crashing. Another great episode and good conclusion to the fight. Now we need to know if that Ginger actually has something of value. Also I wonder what Togusa is up to, it would suck if he turns into a post human as well. |

| Interesting to note that tachikomas were 'ghost hacked' despite being in autistic mode allegedly?..how come? Another thing: noticed a company from Thailand (studio rockets) in the credits, I don't see anime subcontractors from there often. It mostly seems to be Korea. |
| The action in this.. but the martial arts move with Post Human chick vs Major Kusanagi- GODDAMN The moves were amazing this episode. The downside is there wasn't really any story, just pure action, but I'll take that fight over a boring filler episode any day of the week. Purin jumps into a Tachikoma and goes after the lady, while Motoko & Batou take on some Special Forces guys and finish them off in like 10 minutes. The scare with the airliner was really moving- won't spoil but it was really a suspenseful moment. The intensity of the action this episode felt like an adrenaline rush- this sets such a high bar for this season I almost can't fault it for not maintaining it. HOW can anyone do 12 episode of THAT? It was superb. |
