 Production company Aniplex opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Dan Ichikawa's Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen (My New Boss Is Goofy) manga on Tuesday. Akita Shoten shipped the second volume in May 2020. Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen placed 13th in the Female Readers' Top 20 of 2020's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! ranking. Synopsis Momose, a 26-year-old office worker, recently changed jobs after being harassed by his former boss. He is concerned that his new boss will also use power harassment to make his life miserable. Momose tries to hide his concern about facing a similar situation with his new boss, Shirasaki. To Momose's surprise, however, Shirasaki's inherent airheadedness immediately alleviates all of his concerns, giving him a sense of relief. | I don't know if it will be BL or not, but is it the first such anime at all? We've gotten a couple of shonen-ish adult anime at work in the past, but up until this point, the trend towards queer or queerbaiting workplace manga has been almost ignored in anime. |

Yes, you are right. From the many BL works which take place at work, this is the first to be adapted and even into normal TV series. I am really surprised. Still there are many other interesting and decent works on such theme, involving yakuza, for example. But good that they at least will adapt this manga.
