Do you think the Japanese make some of the most ridiculous, absurd things the world has ever seen?

This only covers animanga series. I can't even comprehend the fact that there are Japanese mangakas out there can come up with such a ridiculous idea like:

"Oh I have a great manga idea, what if the protagonist is in an isekai world where he reincarnates as a vending machine"
or something like
"Hehehe let's make a series about a guy whose dick transforms into a cute girl or something out of those sort"
or something like
"haha dick slap scene, lets animate that"

Sometimes, I am fascinated and horrified at the same time that Japanese can actually think of creating stuff like these. Sure, some of these are trashy fun, but some? They- they are just insane.

I hope no one I know irl sees my secret account~

I mean, that particular brand of insanity is needed for the best stuff anime has to offer. You can't be normal and create a HXH, Berserk, or Hellsing. I just see the insanity as the cover price to experience all the better things. But you should definitely experience more of the crazy so you know for sure what you don't want to watch in the future. Or something you will go all in on. No judgements here.

I'm inclined to agree, I've watched and read some incredibly gruesome and completely insane stories that stems from Japan. I commend some of these authors for being bold and out there enough to create batshit insane manga like Homunculus.

Yes. I can separate the real from fiction and don't mind some smartly designed or really dumb in-universe fantasy/sci-fi/everyday with an odd twist in it's universe approach it makes things 'fun' and honestly more exciting.

Some products are a joke (why scents) and just weird but others make sense and the show/game silliness of what ifs is great sometimes.

I like sound design so if it's good I'm all for it. Not bothered with Japanese songs/anime songs.

Many in games it varies. Many are good with Indies, AAs and genres that get overlooked and only niches support. Platformers and rail shooters, shoot me ups, racing.

While with some writing in the west they can be a bit eh sometimes. Some pander with bad jokes, references, change audience appeal and it just sucks. Why would I come to a comedy that they change the jokess. Why good story telling them waste it once it gets popular to 180. I swear I'm sick of the Shazam trailer having the most basic I threw an object at a dragon (besides I don't care for superheroes anyway but why a second movie with that logic it's a bit stupid for the first movie sure the second your wasting time companies), wow is that the best you can do to appeal to the lowest audience seriously. Like it's just so low and pathetic.

Some anime tropes and jokes are a bit annoying but it varies.

Some tropes or references in western tv shows and movies put me off.

I can't get into many western game player/game development things shows or movies because they barely show me anything I want to see whether game development or actually exciting gaming elements the games usually suck the game development is a background, it's just boring.

Whether Gamebox 1.0, Mythic Quest (the Office clone Apple TV show, what I compare to New Game a lot), Grandma's Boy (the one with that cancelled Xbox game), probably other examples. I haven't seen the esports anime it doesn't appeal to me.

New Game is the only thing I like that, did what I asked for of game design and people moments. How hard was it clearly very in the west or just so awful at not showcasing, getting gaming or anything.

Even some Hentai equivalents do thing eroge development good enough.

That level of even if it's dumb (which yes throwing things at the wall can be dumb sometimes and when some people eat it up it can be annoying then when we get better writing and content but still it's nice to see then so many ideas cut off).

You want me to prove normal people don't create greatness? Ok bro. You seem to have a interesting ideas about what goes hand in hand with great storytelling. Yoshiro Togashi is a deviant storyteller. So are Kentaro Miura and Kouta Hirano. Everyone's imagination doesn't twist the way theirs do. Interestingly enough, everyone doesn't have the talent for telling great stories that they do either.

When did being a deviant or abnormal become a negative thing? I want to go with Van Gogh, but honestly there are way to many examples for me to ever list. Abnormal people create abnormal things. Or if it makes you feel better, exceptional people create exceptional things. Either way, I still recommend avoiding weird anime stuff. Unless that's your thing, in which case you should indulge to your hearts delight.

There is one yokai that licks your bathroom and leaves disgusting yokai salvia, if you don't clean regularly.

Alternatively there is one only licking ceilings, because it eats the yummy dust up there and leaves stains.

Or that butthole eye yokai that just loves to prank people.

There is also a giant, dirty foot stomping through your ceiling, demanding you to wash it, disappearing and returning the next night again. I don't make that shit up.

Japan being Japan since hundreds of years.
