| Wonderful ep, hints at the slower pace of season 2 without compromising the intrigue of the story, characters, or mood. THE VIBE, THE VIBE. It's just so nice. Looking forward to and hoping for a solid adaptation of this arc. Already have seen a few dorks get in a twist about the lack of action to be expected in this season, saying it's trash and better to drop. Are these the same people that complained because Chainsaw Man wasn't shounen power-up battles every single episode? |

| I was anxious about how the transition from WIT to MAPPA would affect the future of Vinland Saga, but all of that was relieved upon watching just the very first few minutes of this episode. Man, they really nailed just about everything. I was completely immersed throughout the entire thing. Einar's story was captivating, but what really made the experience so impactful was the excellent production that accompanied it. Everything from the soundtrack to the voice acting to the artistic expression of certain scenes captured my attention and refused to let go for even a second. The pain and suffering Einar felt was conveyed damn near perfectly. Folks, this is what I watch anime for, and I'm happy to say that I'm very excited for what's to come for this show :) |
| Oh man, what a fantastic episode! My favorite first ep of the season! It made me feel quite emotional. I'm already invested in Einar. Really interested in seeing what this season has in store for us. Vinland keeps giving us great OPs and EDs I see. I absolutely loved the ending song! Something in it reminds me of Abba lol |

| God damn. What an astonishing way to start the second season of Vinland Saga. MAPPA really nailed it. Animation, art, OST's, just everything about this first episode was brilliant. We got introduced to a new character with the name Einar, whose peaceful life was turned upside down when his home got attacked, his mother and sister killed as well as him becoming a slave with the perspective of eventually never being able to live a normal life again. Even if we got glimpses of what happens to slaves before, this was definitely the first time we got to experience what they actually have to endure and how cruel and brutal it can get. As fate would have it, Einar met Leif, who was still on his tireless search for Thorfinn. As it wasn't enough, Einar got not only purchased by a farmer, he also met Thorfinn shortly after. What a coincidence lol. I'm honestly shocked by how old Thorfinn looks. How many years have passed? What did Thorfinn do in all that time? I have so many questions, but for now I'm just glad Vinland Saga is back. Btw, why does anime food "always" looks so damn delicious? Because of that, I got hungry again. Thanks :D Not to forget, the opening as well as the ending are both fire. Very suiting for the mood this first episode gave me. Super excited to see what this season will be about. So looking forward to the next episode. |

| Let's go! It's time for farmland saga. That was an awesome premier episode. F in the chat for Einar's family. That really didn't last long. Super excited to where this arc will go but I'm at least assuming Leif will find Thorfinn at some point. |

| Just finished 1st episode... it was very moving, I cried. Stunning landscapes, absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere in Vinland Saga is something else. Perfect opening and ending. I Love everything about this ep. |
