How long is the longest time you ever hold your pee / poo?

What force you to do that? Maybe your were stuck long in traffic jam on freeway etc.?

Also what's the best strategy so far you have come up with to hold that? Maybe divert your thought to something else etc.?

Like an hour or two. When I was on a trip with my school in my Primary school years, I had to go bathroom on the bus and we still had an hour or two left to go:/ I was also feeling bus sick but that kinda helped to divert my attention away from needing the bathroom.

I don't really have a strategy for this, I just kind of tense up and hope for the best.

Longest? Hmmm around 24-28 hours, whenever I am travellin by plane/bus/car/train I usually don't go to toilet even if there is a toilet in the vehicle or a stop in gas station which usually has toilet. I don't like it especially when I am travelling and to go there with all my most important stuff in my backpack and refindnging my seat or to pray that no one will steal it, which is why I am holding it and it isn't even hard or difficult. 24-28 hours is because that's how long it took me to travel from Poland to Greece by bus. [I also limit the amount of food I am eating and drinking, in some cases I am capable to travel around 10-12 hours and not eat a single thing as I don't know why but I guess uncounsious/not intentionally my body itself is starting to limiting as for a sign that I am traveling I need to save stuff I have with me like phone/laptop batter, food, alcohol, cigarettes, toilets etc.]

Longest... happened a couple of times through my school years. I would feel the need to pee before school started, then I'd just wait the day out and pee when I get home. I'm just not comfortable with public bathrooms.

I had my gallbladder removed last year. My digestion works differently now. It's not uncommon for me to go two to four days without going #2.

I hated to go on other toilets in public or hotels (I mean, I still do) and almost went four days once, but then I had to go.
Peeing, I can do that, but actually sitting there... yikes.
That shit hurt tho (yes, I know it's a bad joke) and my disgust towards public toilets gave up to my stomach.

I didnt poo for 4 days out of sheer force if will.

I dont poop in strange places and our water was shut off because my mom was incompetent so I held it for 4 days till I got to go back to my dad's house.

It wasn't hard so probably I had a mental block that was stronger than physical needs for a bit.

What happen to your galbladder? Is the surgery scarry?
Will that cause problem for the pee to be hold for 2 to 4 days post op forever?
I have chronic coccydenia for 5 years, I have been worry so much that in the end I have to do surgery ( amputate the tailbone), I saw there are so many risk for that, including pelvic prolapse, high chance infection (closed to anus) etc.

Finally, someone willing to get to the real philosophical questions in life.

Three days ago, admittedly not the proudest moment in my life, I had to politely suggest to my tattoo artist that we take some "fresh air", because I had been brewing something monumentally masculine for the past 6 hours in the chair.

You meant you got horny in the tattooing process?
Which part of body you got tattooed?

I had gallstones for years...and one night when I ate lasagna, it triggered a gallbladder attack. (Which can easily be fatal if left unchecked. It's how my grandpa died.) It sent pain throughout my torso. Felt like I got run over by a train. I was in so much pain I could barely move. Went through a lot at the hospital. They gave me a strong painkiller directly into my bloodstream with an IV. It took a few hours to kick in, at which time I didn't feel any pain. When I finally went home and woke up again, the pain was focused only on my gallbladder area. A few days later, I had the surgery, which wasn't scary at all. But it was scarry: I still have four scars on my abdomen. lol. Upon awakening from the anesthesia, I felt more exhausted than ever before. I was on prescription pain meds for three weeks following the surgery. Whenever I didn't take them, the internal bleeding hurt too much, so I'm thankful for those as well. The days of holding in (ie constipation) only applies to #2, not #1. I noticed no changes in terms of urination. I still have to pee a few times a day.

For those who don't know, the gallbladder is not the bladder. XD

I don’t really keep track of records for that sort of thing.

@SmugSatoko
I wonder how that gallbladder attack pain compares with a kidney stone attack like I had once. I assume they have similar feelings. it felt like contractions of muscles and the pain came in waves. Though for me I skipped the hospital having been there before not wanting to go trhough the long wait wound up making myself wait even longer like 9 hours to go to urgent care in morning and never got pain meds for it. ;_;

Did you never adjust your diet after? You’re supposed to not overdo it on fatty foods and apparently also much to your likely dismay,I see caffeine in there.

A brief search suggests a gallbladder attack is more painful.

I only needed to adjust my diet while recovering from surgery. I can eat and drink anything now and it's fine. Even the doctor who lead the surgery said I can eat whatever I want.

Ouch. Sorry, you went through that.

I see. I assume he meant it wont cause severe problems if you dont change how you eat not necessarily that it doesn’t have any effect but likely it differs by individual the degree of changes to digestion.

lmao i do this too, like when camping. i guess thats less a thing abt strange places and more about lack of facilities. fine with pit toilets though. pit toilets are underrated.
