There are hashira stronger than Rengoku and even though it was a “1 in a million chance” beheading at the end of s2, let’s not forget that Tengen almost immediately beheaded both Gyutaro and Daki early in the battle when Tengen did the 2 finger grip thing with his blades.

to be honest, first two seasons and mugen train arc shown demons waaaay more powerful than later on in the series. dont think its something wrong, its a common trope to first present the enemy impossible to beat, to create a reason for mc to grow significantly.

Anyway don't worry there are still seven active Hashira / Pillars assuming you only watch anime as you will see how strong they are actually, and not to mention there are Tanjiro and other non-hashiras too who keeps getting stronger.

nope. don't waste time. but i would recommend to read their gaiden chapters. they are side stories for that water hashira and shinobu and one chapter is dedicated to rengoku and mitsuri. they have better art than actual manga. 😂

You are watching shonen anime. Ofcourse there will be some talk no jutsu or some character dies and then main character will get huge power ups and proceeds to kill the next demon. And keep repeating this process till the last demon.

I haven't read the manga btw.

The answer is already in the manga.

Anyways, the series would seem pointless if they didn't.
Another point is that Rengoku isn't close to being one of the strongest current Hashira. Wont spoil anything but the current strongest Hashira is a beast in his own right who can hold his ground against the top demons.

If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

The Hashira's do alot of training and if a whole manga is plot armor then it is like most shounen anime. In my opinion that negates the use of the term plot armor because of course their is plot armor. How many shounen animes can you name that do not use plot armor.

Rewatch when tanjiro when psycho made agains daki or whatever her name was. look at him carefully and you will see the 'power up' they get. its in the anime so i would say this isnt spoiling. also rengoku lost to no. 3 probably mostly due to his ability. most all the top demons have one. although tbh i have read the manga and it makes some sense i guess?
