| Nah, that's just the earlier ultra-high score that was a (normal) anomaly that gave you wrong expectations. It was never going to last, as it was an artefact of the first few scores being in majority from the ultra-hardcore fans, and now you get a "natural" score fall from a larger variety of watchers scoring it. (And yes, this includes the knee-jerk 1s.) To get it into perspective : the Bleach sequel has few ratings at this stage (much fewer than its popularity would indicate). Barely 30K, one of the lowest in the top 50 (and Chainsaw Man is barely above that too). It's around half of Gintama: The Final, a movie that I'm not even sure is widely available legally (and obviously has a fairly niche audience). With so few scores, it's not surprising that the average score can vary so much in so little time, especially with the number of scores tripling in a day (it was 10K about 24 hours ago). The inertia just isn't there yet. |

| Nope Bleach and CSM were just simply overrated by hype lords. Kaguya was at the top and it stayed there for at least one full day. Bleach and CSM had their peak ratings and progressively went down as more people kept watching and will continue to go down by the looks of things. I don't care that there are people deliberately trying to reduce their ratings and neither should you. Don't let this deter the fact that both those series are massively overrated because of hype. A good way to know which series are actually worth the hype is if their ratings are consistent over months, even years. Not a few days. |

I don't know how you could possibly argue for Bleach or CSM not being overhyped when they got to the top of the MAL charts after one episode. That is literally the textbook definition of overhyped and overrated. You can't just blame everything on bots. You don't want to believe that beneath the bots and the alt accounts, there might be a portion of people who didn't enjoy CSM or Bleach as much as the upvoters that would rate it to shreds and then start making useless forums about how Bleach has achieved the #1 spot. |

Thread locked MAL has implemented a new system to take care of boosting/downvoting accounts automatically. You can read more about it here. You do not have to worry about the score being influenced by them. If it is influenced, it will be fixed after a few days. |
