| Dorohedoro. I watched the anime first (it came out in 2020) and was really surprised when I later found out that the manga series started in 2000. It just goes to show that the series has this fresh punk quality to it that doesn't feel outdated. |

| Hi no Tori first serialized from 1966 - 1988. The first adaptation came out in 1986 and that only adapted like a fraction of it. There's a 2004 tv series tho but not sure how faithful it is. Vinland Saga 2005, adaptation 2019. Golgo 13: 1968, 1983 (movie), 2008 (50 eps tv series) |

| @TRC_Randy The 2004 anime adapts 5 arcs. When combined with the three older adaptations, that's 8 out of 12 arcs. The "Resurrection" and "Sun" arcs originally jump around between multiple perspectives. Sun alternates between 7th century and 21st century settings. The anime cuts all but one perspective from each arc, leaving Sun with only the 7th century storyline. |
