they did a massive disservice compared to the 2003 version
so so so so so much worse, at least this episode.

This episode was a reinterpretation of the previous series, in the previous series they gave more time to the fights, in this one everything was very rushed to fit in one episode, honestly I prefer this style half rushed, so the episode doesn't get monotonous like most episodes of the series previous.
Man I'm much more preferring this new series than the old one, the characters are much better than the previous one.
I think especially this episode should be seen after the old episodes because it sounds much more like a complement than a re-imagining, because they cut some important things but other than that this episode is much more interesting than the old ones.

Esse episodio foi uma releitura da série anterior, na série anterior eles deram mais tempo as lutas, nessa foi tudo muito corrido para caber em um episódio, sinceramente prefiro esse estilo meio corrido, assim o episódio não fica monótono como a maioria dos episódios da série anterior.
Cara estou preferindo muito mais essa serie nova do que a antiga, os personagens estão muito melhores que a da anterior.
Acho que em especial esse episodio deve ser visto depois dos episódios antigos pois soa muito mais como um complemento do que uma re-imaginação, pois eles cortam algumas coisas importantes mas fora isso essa episodio é muito mais interessante que os antigos.

The pacing is all over the place compared the the 2003 2-episode arc, and the fights are less interesting. Plus, Kino's rule in the 2003 version had more details. Lerche shouldn't have made a remake of this episode and adapt a new story instead.

Talking motorcycle surprised about a talking dog lol

I liked how as soon as the guy put on the crown the ripples came back hinting back to what kink said and probably the peace and calmness wouldn't return if he did become king.

I think it was probably best all those citizens killed each other. Too corrupt and the ones that weren't can run away if they can.

They really messed up the Colosseum arc in this version, making it way too rushed and choppy compared to the 2003 anime adaptation. And that ending? Kino's new law throws the whole country into chaos, while in the old version, it was clear it only affected the first-class citizens. Oh, and that talking dog joke? They dragged it out for way too long (in my opinion, the old title did it funnier). Seriously, major vibe killer.
