| Does anyone know if any romance anime has ever done something like this? An anime where the main couple develops over the episodes from the beginning, but in the middle of the anime they break up for some reason but get back together later. However, it doesn't just take them 1, 2 or 3 episodes to get back together, but SEVERAL episodes later. Or maybe they just get back together in the end. And meanwhile, the secondary characters are """happy""" with the end of the relationship of the main couple, so one tries to start dating "Boy" and the other with "Girl". And the main "couple" starts to be interested in these secondary characters, but they can't forget their first love... And that's why the relationship with the secondary characters ends in friendship (saddly). And so the main couple goes back to dating episodes later, with a happy ending.  (This will probably sound like an anime recommendation thread, but it's not. I'm just curious about it 😅.) |

| That's basically the story of Domestic Girlfriend in a nutshell like........quite literally actually Haikara-san and Peach Girl more or less have this as well. I guess Saishuu Heiki Kanojo would fall under this too? there's also a manga Kisarazu kun no XX ga mitai which has pretty much that premise as well (and is quite a banger too) |
