| To be fair, two Rurouni Kenshin movies were released in 2021 so they clearly plan on continuing to separate the art from the artist, he most likely is still going to profit from all these works though which is unfortunate. |

| The history of Art, Science, Medicine, etc. are littered with Nazis, murderers, rapists, racists and child molesters. But the continued complaints about “not giving Watsuki any money” are pretty pointless at this point. Cannot overcome you disgust at Watsuki’s crime? Understandable. But after 7+ years, it is pretty ridiculous for some people to come to a Kenshin forum and complain about a story about which we are ALL aware of and have made OUR choices about at this point. |

| The way I see it, it's over. The law in Japan handled it in whatever way they deemed fit to, and the companies have handled it. Even if I personally hate what he did, I don't feel comfortable forcing my values on another country and the people that live there. Christianity has already been doing that for hundreds of years. And I especially won't let the whole thing ruin something that was a huge part of my childhood. |

That actually helps the industry, it's hard to get actual numbers but I've seen estimates saying between 80 to 95 of the total views where from the sum of pirate pages around the globe, personally I've never paid for anime. If you remove that huge and you are left with those who pay for the streaming, tv, movie or blue ray I'm pretty sure the amount of paying users would also go down because many people would not want to pay for an anime that no one is watching |
