(2 options for you) Who are your favorite lesbian characters OR favorite assertive/direct female characters?
My favorite lesbians are Kosame from Girls Bravo (pictured below) and ALL of the girls from Shoujo Sect. One of my favorite direct female characters is Sekai Saionji. A lot of people hate her. LMAO.  |

Revy is overrated, because guns are all that she's good for. I'm critical of anime that TRY to present themselves as dark/realistic if they don't do a good job of it. Great Pretender is superior. The spell Black Lagoon had on me wore off when I watched it subtitled. It's one anime where I think the English dub is actually better and makes you forget longer about the implausibility of Black Lagoon. Either do a good job being consistent about the realism in an anime you're presenting as realistic, or don't go for the realistic thing at all. |

Assuming the latter, though, I definitely agree that Black Lagoon isn't amazing and that Great Pretender is much better. Also, Black Lagoon's dub is pretty good and definitely makes more sense than sub. I just think Revy adds a lot to the show (whatever that is is up to you). |

I removed it from my list because there was a bug with filtering my list by tag that's fixed now. Before it was fixed, I removed anime from my list that I "didn't need." Black Lagoon wasn't worthy enough to stay on my list. I haven't seen any episodes of Great Pretender but I deliberately spoiled some things about it because I like to know in advance if an anime will waste my time or not. |

The anime skips/rearranges a lot of stuff (plus there's way more ecchi moments later on in the manga, if you're interested) But whether you read the manga first or not, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! :) |
