i usually just base it off what i like (for example, reading solanin since i liked oyasumi punpun and they have the same author), or if you collect physical manga and like going to bookstores to buy it, i like asking the employees that work in the manga section what they like!!

I get recommended by friends and I look at some PTRs on peoples lists (which is pretty helpful, try this)

Look around in the shop or the publisher's website and get recommendations from friends.

I just click randomly most of the times from titles that seems intriguing to me, just read 1 chapter then move on or stay.....

I just grab one off the shelf at the book store that looks good. Pretty simple.

If I see something with interesting character designs, I'll head over to MangaUpdates, and check the genres and tags of the manga I'm interested in, to see if it would be my cup of tea. If it appears that there's something in it that I find offense, I'll avoid it.

I dunno I see stuff pop up on Amazon JP, look it on google image and if that looks interesting I'll most likely get it. Or something I don't even bother looking it up xD

I search for a tag for example seinen/comedy/mystery then add some, while trying not to be too picky and narrow-minded. Also through recommendations on manga/manhwa I liked or through friends' lists.

Outside of that, scrolling through the most popular and highest rated lists helps too.

Pls don't write animeS or mangaS >.< // + <50 man(g/hw/hu)a not in MAL. // Join my >manga club< here!

Either I find manga from previous challenge participants lists or go to the genre I want and sort it by score.

sometimes I go to the author and publisher and then sort it by score again.

I do my own jobs myself. No need from others.
"When they're alive, you can enjoy watching them struggle. When they're dead, you can enjoy tearing out their guts. Tales are things you get to enjoy twice."
