Seems like a stupid question, but I'm curious what's seen as "proper". Even in the dub, it follows the standard Japanese convention of stressing the first syllable (e.g., SAI-ta-ma, I-chi-go), but since the characters aren't supposed to be Japanese, do you tend to say "MI-ka-sa" or "mi-KA-sa"? Obviously, here in the West, the latter sounds more natural.

For me ['mikasa] sounds the most normal pronunciation, with stress on the first syllable and without modifying the vowels.

Stressing the second syllable isn't wrong since pitch accent is what's more important.

Native Russian speaker. I’m stressing the second syllable, since pronouncing it this way seems the best to me.

[mi-KA-sa] (Russian)
[mi-CUH-suh] (English)

Oh I know the answer to this one! It's pronounced [trash].

In all seriousness, it depends on what language I'm speaking at the time. If I'm speaking to my Japanese friends, it's more of an even spread across the sounds but I guess the "Mi" is slightly more emphasised. When speaking to my English-only friends, I tend to westernise names to not sound douchy and to help with the flow of conversation. The "ka" becomes more like how I would say "car" (I'm Australian so soft R) while the "Mi" and "sa" become much shorter. Almost like mcCarsa"

Boring piece of trivia.

In Spanish, speaking "Mi-KA-sa" sounds the same as speaking "My House" in the same language.

I typically just treat japanese pronunciation as spanish. I feel like more times than not it's pretty much the way it's pronounced anyway. The only times people think I'm strange is when I say Magia Record. My fellow hispanics understand.
