In my opinion it is absolute trash, but you should just watch the first episode and decide for yourself. You probably saw the score, so you should know that most people enjoyed it a lot.

Yep. It is just one of the most fun anime ever created. Watch it to have fun, don’t expect anything mind blowing. It’s an anime you just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

I think it’s pretty fuckin epic. Real heart. Really electric style. Extremely passionate. Exciting. A dope love letter to the Getter Robo franchise. One of Imaishi’s best directing projects. Worth a watch for sure. An absolute classic.

as you can see from this thread, people's tastes differ, so it's virtually impossible to call any one show a must watch for everyone. but i'd say gurren lagann has endured and remained in the conversation for a reason, it's not for nothing that so many people think of it as an all time classic, so it's worth a watch, yes. even if you won't like it as much as the next guy (or yours truly), at least you'd know what it's all about, and how you feel about one of anime's most beloved shows, director and so on.

I personally don't like mecha. So the fights got boring really quickly. But the character development kept me going.

Also the final fight is legendary

i've only seen the first few episodes, but i personally think it's a great series, maybe a high 7/low-mid 8 in my opinion, but everybody has different tastes, so you should see for yourself and see how you like it.

yes,it is a must watch. It is one of those anime which is very hard to explain why it is amazing or how amazing it is. Just watch it. it has everything for a shonen anime and is also unique.

Looking at your watched list, I think this one would be worth a try. It will have big fights and a variety of characters. However, it will also take itself way less seriously, which could be a fun change of pace. The first episode introduces the characters but the second episode gives you a much better idea of what the show will be like.

If you do watch and enjoy the show, I would recommend the movie Promare since it also has a plot that is ridiculous but also is fun to ride along with.

Is it worth the watch? Well yes absolutely it’s so dang amazing!! The problem with it & the issue many people have is that when you watch it you must basically get passed episode 6 for it to start cranking up because the first 3 aren’t dull to say but the rest up to 6 get quite dull… grueling as a matter of fact, when I first started Gurren Lagann it was basically the first anime I’ve ever watched but shortly in episode 4 I got quite bored & shut my Tv off but then I said ya know what fuck it I got nothing to do, so I turned on it backed on held strong until I got passed 6 & it really started hitting off especially episode 8 Later Buddy truly got me hooked after for the ride and honestly thank goodness I did because god dam it’s the most beautiful thing & truly majestic piece ever it became my favorite anime of all time it truly gave me courage & fighting spirit after I saw SAO & my anime journey began, so if this doesn’t encourage ya to watch it & plow Idk what will.

There's no logic in this anime but that's what makes it amazing the first few episodes were pretty weak but it definitely gets better especially after episode 16

Edit: just rewatched it a few days ago, it actually gets a lot better after episode 8 lol. Still wouldn't say it's a complete masterpiece like a lot of people claim. But I'd give it a 8 or 9 now probably.
