| At first, I also thought that it was an odd choice for Vanitas. But, after hearing it, I think he is doing great. The thing is that Vanitas is only 18 years old, and I believe that Hanae’s voice is really helping him sound like a teenager. Someone like Jun Fukuyama, Hiroshi Kamiya or Mamoru Miyano (the seiyuus that most of the people seem to had picked for Vani) would sound a little too old for him, in my opinion. |

| He's doing good, but it's likely his toughest role yet. He has to nail the darker impressions of Vanitas too, not something that loosely resembles Chuuni behavior all the time. |

| So far I really like his performance as Vanitas. I think it fits the character a lot, mainly because of the above-mentioned reasons. That, and I think he nailed his laugh. |

| Hanae’s voice is quite different from how I imagined Vanitas’ would be but I like it. I’m more concerned for his performance. I think he’s doing a great job so far but there are certain moments I’m looking forward to. If he nails them, I’ll be more than happy. All of the VAs you’ve mentioned have also played teenagers (some younger than Vanitas) so I don’t think age is a problem. Actually, on that topic, I’m surprised they didn’t get another VA for younger Noé. He must have been around 13 in this episode’s flashback and even younger in the flashbacks with his teacher. Ishikawa undeniably sounds like an adult man or an older adolescent. |

| Tanjiro's VA as Vanitas isn't bad at all I think his voice matches a character in his late teens. |

| TBH he is actually nailing his character. I am sure that this must be his toughest role considering the complexity of vanitas. But considering natsuki hanae has done Kaneki, Tanjiro, Kousei, and that walrus odaka in Odd taxi, i am pretty sure he is the better choice considering he can pull this off and so far he is represnting the multiple traits that vanitas has |

| Initially, I too was surprised hearing his voice. But seeing Hanae Natsuki's range of character roles, ig he is very much suited to the role. He has voiced Kaneki and Odokawa, so you can expect something different from him. And right now he's doing the job really well. |

| I will be completely honest here - at first (maybe for 3 seconds) I was confused a little bit. But after that I fell in love with this voice of Vanitas. Nothing to add :) |

I hope they ditch the chibi art in the 2nd season too, idk whose idea that was but it kills the show. Weirdly enough they seem to be pretty good when there's no comedy involved, HellFire Witch is good so far so there's hope. Wonder if the dub will actually be better this time around. I don't think its a miscast. I've seen that you've watched Tokyo Ghoul:re where Hanae is able to pull off the voice that you're thinking of. I haven't read the manga but even I feel Vanitas gives off this vibe of a Happy-go-lucky character that actually has a darker side to him. In the latest episode, the scene with Orlok is a good example. Also its just the start of the series, If he's going to get more sinister, it would be shown soon enough. |
| I think he’s doing a good job, and I usually don’t fancy his voice acting all that much, but he’s a good fit for Vanitas methinks. I can totally see why people were hoping it would be Mamo/Kamiya Hiroshi playing him tho!!!!!! |

| Well Its good for now and really fits vanitas considering he is young, quirky and dark and hanae was able to capture all the moments till now imo. However it will become clear whether he fits or not once they reach the part where he says If Hanae nails that then i dont think there will be any sort of issue and considering he nailed kaneki I think he will be able too nail that |

| Hanae is not exactly what I imagine Vanitas would sound so it does takes me some time to get use at first but now I guess he did fine job as him |
| Not too bad though I was expecting Mamoru Miyano to voice Vanitas. but Hanae Natsuki also does a great job, He is a great VA and I know since he voiced Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul. |
