Ayton's been incredible this season. 20 & 10 on amazing efficiency and a defensive anchor in the paint. What A GAME! |

Holy shit....what a game! Pure fucking bananas! But believe it or not I gotta give credit to the Clippers. I have no idea how they're playing THIS good without Kawhi....really makes you wonder! Funny thing is....I want to say the series is DEFINITELY over....but the Clippers won the previous two series by being down 0-2! Then again....this Suns team is the real deal! |

They're lowkey playing like the Clippers team that gave the Warriors a bit of trouble in 2019. Patrick Beverly is having a resurgence in these playoffs. (I have no idea how he started making all these contested 3s these last couple games) Lowkey wondering if the "Lakers in 5" has morphed into "Suns in 4" for this season lol |

I was thinking Suns in 4 and I'm sticking to that but the Clippers have reason to believe that they can still make this a series at least. Saw the Suns/Clippers Gm 2 highlights earlier. That must of been real crazy live. The Bucks/Hawks series is really a toss up but I gave the edge to the Bucks. The Hawks have been game all playoff long and struck first but the Bucks, on paper, at least, may have a higher ceiling, even if they often don't play to expectations. The Hawks are more fun to watch tho so, go Hawks. |

I'd double team Trae in the half court if im the Bucks. Also, they should put Giannis at center & not Lopez. |

They actually did just that in the entire 4th quarter. The Hawks ended the game on an 18-8 run primarily benefiting from dominating the offensive glass which became the problem late. Tbh I'm fine with Lopez in the post, but I didn't like leaving Jrue or whoever was guarding Trae on an island with Trae and his screener all game long. The 4th quarter they tried different things with multiple switches. Curious to see the adjustments for game 2. |

My plan is to force him to become a passer in the halfcourt & literally go scramble mode all game in order for Trae not to get hot & hopefully even force Capela & Collins to become passers to the remaining open shooters when the defense is scrambling. its better to give up a potentially contested 3 than Trae heating up or a lob. Ofc, u cant stop his lob all the time, but atleast get him off his rhythm. Also, For the Bucks offense, they should force a switch & iso on Trae more often to atleast get him off his rhythm. |

I definitely don't want that lol. That was pure hell to see that all game. Letting Trae have so much free reign in the paint with no punishment sucked. |

Bud is a dumbass, it's like he's never seen a Hawks game before. They used drop coverage which Trae abused, and adjusted too late when the damage has already been done, they also got killed in the boards late. Anyways, that's probably Trae's best game of the series unless Bud goes full retard. Bucks only lost by 3 in spite of Trae going for 48 and Middleton shooting 6/23. Bucks should still win this series. |

Just found out this thread exists and it's awesome seeing a passionate NBA fanbase on here. Really happy the Clips were able to pull it off tonight, first CFs win in their history (and in my 20 years of supporting them). But being a Clippers fan, despite the 0-2 magic this postseason, it's hard to imagine things continuing to trend in a positive direction. PG looks absolutely gassed, don't blame him considering he leads the playoffs in total minutes by about 150 over the next guy and the Clips have played what, 12 games in 24 days now (36-hour break between the 2nd and 3rd round was not very cool, thanks NBA). He needs to stop trying to do it all and put complete trust in his teammates if they want to win this. Almost threw the game away there at the end. The Clippers did a good job keeping the ball out of his hands after the first quarter but Ayton could still be the difference in this series. His presence is where the Clips really miss Serge, who would allow them to go five-out with a proven rim protector on the floor. Ayton's not necessarily an aggressive offensive player, but CP and Booker will find him which the Jazz weren't really able to do with Gobert. Maybe Zu repeats tonight's performance though, I'd be down with that. Anyway, so proud of Bobby Shmurda and Terance Mann! Definitely wouldn't be here without them. Rondo was nice against Dallas but idk if I want to see any more of him this series. |

The key is Ayton though I think, Clips breezed through bigs during this posts season exposing Porzingis, and Gobert. Having to go against a decent PF/C would be an interesting challenge they need to adapt to. |

I didn't think anyone would want to read anything positive about Pat Bev haha, but he's a known commodity, yea he was literally too small to guard Luka but I knew he'd prove his worth eventually. People outside of the Clippers' fanbase were probably less aware of how good Bobby has been and Terance Mann's existence, so it feels extra special to see them balling out. And yea I agree, Ayton is still a problem. |

Damn, the Suns lose, rooting for them because my team, Miami Heat, was embarrassed in the 1st round and of course the Suns have a Heat legend in Jae Crowder. Tough loss for the Suns, hopefully dbook and cp3 can bounce back from this and run riot in game 4. I really want cp3 and bossman99 to get a ring this year, both of them deserve this. Hawks vs Bucks tomorrow. And of course, I want the Hawks to win because of one man, Solomon Hill, another Heat legend. But I doubt the Hawks can defeat this Bucks team, they're a different beast this year because of Jrue. |

Having to go against a decent PF/C would be an interesting challenge they need to adapt to. Although Gobert was far from perfect and deserves criticism, the major downfall of the Jazz was honestly the wings being unable to keep a single player in front of them. Gobert essentially had to help on every drive and then the help rotations just weren't there. Clips straight up started using less screens as the series went on and just killed the Jazz at the point of attack continuously. |

@AceDvazz yea I wasn't referring to Gobert's defense, rather his inability to punish the Clippers for going small on offense. Porzingis couldn't do that (maybe Bobi did a little but was dreadful defensively), Gobert couldn't do that, but Ayton can. |

I was mainly addressing the response to your comment, but yeah, the main Gobert criticism should be how little he was able to punish small ball on the offensive side. The inability to dominate the offensive boards was huge for the entire series. Took until game 6, but there so many other issues at that point that it didn't matter. There were definitely some defensive issues, but I think that stemmed more from the overall team rather than Gobert himself. |

Well that was a nice Bucks win. Stepping up the intensity on defense, swarming, good switching and playing the lanes led to easy fast break opportunities and a huge 2nd quarter lead. Good to see, lets keep it up on the road. |

@ImperfectBlue To be honest, I don't know how many bigs there are in the league that would have been able to punish the Clippers from going small in that game 7 last week. They've been on something since Kawhi's gotten injured & starting to play like the 2019 Clippers that put up a bit of a fight vs GSW. People talked about Morris & Beverly catching fire from 3 and rightfully so, but all I remember is Mann & Reggie Jackson running into Gobert's chest and hitting the most contested layups in the world. |

These playoffs have been fun to watch, and more unpredictable. Past playoffs have been predictable with it coming down to a select group of teams with a real chance to win. And home teams usually winning, but as we've seen from the Clippers vs mavs series and Hawks vs 76ers, that's not the case. And to see both 1 seeds out after round 2 is really surprising but also great. This is great for future playoffs if this parity trends keeps going, not only in terms of who's going to go deep in the playoffs, but also who's the winner. After 5 straight years of Warriors vs Cavs, and Lebron being in the finals every year in the East because no team could seriously challenge his Miami and Cleveland teams; we're going to have 3 years in a row of one-off winners. I'm not against dynasty's by no means, but it's just nice to see parity in basketball, since usually it's different elite teams winning multiple championships over and over and the odd team that wins 1 like 2011 Mavs and 2004 Pistons. |

@dream_mirror, that's again highlighting the Clippers' small-ball offense though, not their small-ball defense. Ayton is cooking inside. Also apparently I spoke PG shooting way too much into existence... ugly first quarter = ( |

This consistency, or the lack of, is baffling. |

Well that's probably it for this series, even if the Clippers won tonight they are completely gassed and I couldn't imagine them pulling off two more. The Suns are also clearly the better team with the Clippers' injuries. Pretty poetic that after all the favorable calls to get the Clippers back into the game, a few bad calls (or lack of a call) shut the door on them in the end. Shoutout to the Suns for maintaining insane defensive effort for all 48 minutes, if the Clippers can't win the championship I'll 100% be behind Paul and his team. And shoutout to the Clippers' nonexistent home crowd. Seemed like the loudest the crowd got all night was when PG unintentionally missed a free throw in the final 10 seconds. Even looked like PG looked into the crowd like "are you kidding me?" at that point. I get that Phoenix is nearby but people in LA need to be on those tickets the second they come out. I guess it's true we hardly have any fans. |

That was off of Payne. I mean they called it right in game 2 now for some reason they dont. The Clips got lucky that most of CP3 & Booker's shots r not falling when they forced Zubac to switch on them. & the Clips finally got their favorite number in the playoffs, 3-1. |
