Iirc the Japanese audio was planned, but the English one was done first and it just fit too well the producers decided to skip the Japanese audio and just released it with subtitles. It was still produced by Japanese for Japanese market though, unlike Neo Yokio. |

my favorite new arbitrary bullshit thing is "made for japanese audiences" because it's completely subjective nonsense. A completely Japanese production can bomb in Japan despite being marketed there and find popularity abroad, and vice-versa. Who is to say if something is "made for Japanese audiences"? What criteria is used?
