| I can't agree or disagree due to the fact that I don't think I've actually read any proper Korean manhwa besides the one that inspired Ragnarok Online, however I have read a lot of Korean Webtoons, and calling them unoriginal is an understatement, so if that's what we're talking about I do agree. Even when they have an original premise, the execution is always super basic, and the art despite looking good at first glance lacks personality for the most part (granted, the art criticism is just Webtoons in general, even Japanese Webtoons look boring). I'm sure there are exceptions, but it's annoying that I have to actually go out of my way to find them instead of accidentally stumbling upon them occasionally like with manga. |

| I haven't read to many mawnhas, but I have found some to be pretty awesome like Kubera for the fantasy genre, and Cheese in the Trap for the romance genre. Kubera is expertly woven tale consisting of 6-7+ POV characters and pantheons based on Hindu mythology. This should probably be in the Manga forums. |

| I mean, we can say the same about Light Novels and the current anime industry, but yeah, most manwha is just pretty characters with no personality doing nothing. Kinda like whattpad used to be, but with pictures. |

| I like some of them for sure, their isekai is usually better written than japanese LNs. But just like action shounen manga, action manhwa are all the same with slightly different scenarios. There are a few good ones like Bastard, or Sweet Home though. And Tower of God which is a really good balance of mystery and action. Also Eleceed which has good character development and a lot of comedy, similar to Noblesse or Girls of the Wild's. But most manhwa are same, I have read a lot of both manhwa and manga, and all I have to say is, just like how battle shounen or isekai keeps getting pumped out, action manhwa are the same thing as well. You just gotta find the gems like you do with Seinen in manga. |
