What anime would you recommend to people who want to get into anime for the first time? For me, I'd probably recommend them something like Death Note or Attack on Titan or something.

It's hard to win an argument against smart people, but impossible to win an argument against dumb ones.

Death Note, Shingeki or Psycho-Pass
If you're a fanboy, please don't waste my time.

Watch more movies, please.

Perhaps, this is hell.

Honestly, any given shounen is an easy entry point for a beginner. I started with Fullmetal Alchemist (not Brotherhood) before I got into some real shit.

Bebop, Death Note, FMA:B, AoT, and Demon Slayer. Those are probably the easiest to get a newbie interested in anime.
Don't let others ruin things for you. Even if a toxic fan pisses in your cereal, you could just get another bowl of cereal.

Most people that watch anime for the 1st time are under 10. You'd recommend series like that to someone under 10? :O

That's not always the case? New fans can be of any age.

A very successful approach has been to recommend SAO as a first anime.

Depends on the person.
If a young boy, then any shounen stuff like Dragon Ball, Naruto, KnY, etch.
If a young girl, then shoujo stuffs like Kimi ni Todoke, Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket, etch.
If a teenager, then dark shounen and seinen stuffs like Berserk, AoT, Vinland Saga, etch.
If a female teenager, then still shoujo stuff but shounen stuff with romance is good too.
If adult, then hentai.

I wasted all my time in rewatching to the point of my rewatch total is higher than my overall anime total lmao

Depends who I am trying to snag into the anime cult. Most ppl will be Code Geass.
There's no inherent right or wrong in this universe, but when we think with emotions rather than logic, we make things so.

Probably some movie instead of TV-Series. Maybe like 'Your name' or 'Weathering with you'. These are both some pretty basic anime for beginners i'd say.

Whatever kind of show they want to watch.

If not that, then like Re Zero. I've always said there is no sense in showing someone an anime that they're never gonna see anything really like again (like Death Note.) Re Zero is an acceptable balance between quintessentially anime with anime tropes but also capability for general appeal.

I'm trying to introduce people to anime, not trick them into it.

Depends on who they are. But if the're into action/ adventure stuff like me, then AoT and Vinland Saga are pretty good. They don't have any annoying comedy or fan service that might turn someone away. Plus the art style is pretty solid on both.

Aot, FMA:B, Death Note for most people. Depending on their taste maybe something like a silent voice or Monster instead. Really depends on the person/people.

In that case.....i'd recommend g-rated things i used to watch when i was a child like, for example, the world masterpiece theater series or Pokemon if they are at least 7.

I'd recommend my hero academia is it the best show nope but it's easy to digest
Shows like attack on titan or steins;gate
Could be too complicated or too brutal

"Alf"
it's a really funny and cool show to watch, the characters all very well written and the jokes are lit. It's a very christian show so you can watch it with your family or alone after reading the bible.
The ending is...
The saddest things in my life...

I would suggest an anime genre that would be in their comfort zone.
Not too long, with good pacing, not too many characters.
Something already finished. Something that isn't too niche.

Cells at work, death note, one punch man, sword art online, magi, anohana...
